I saw a youtube video on how to make your own fake amiibo cards for Animal Crossing (as well as anything else that uses amiibo cards) and I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, I would love to be able to bring my villagers I was so attached to in New Leaf here (calling Shep). And on the other hand that just... really feels way too much like cheating to me and I'm not sure I could bring myself to do it.

Everyone is always coming up with game cheats. I try not to use any of them, but if someone makes a game, cheats follow.

I think really cheats are only fair in games that need them for improvement, like the fan packs people make for The Sims. Not my game, but Hazel loves telling us what her sims are doing, and she has tons of mods to improve gameplay to make it more realistic.

I don't think mods are cheats though. They are more like bonus packs to play with in addition. I used to play Sims but I haven't in a really long time.

Huh. I always thought that they were for some reason. I guess because they let you do things that you couldn't otherwise.

I think they are more like enhancements. They can help for sure, but not a cheat either.

Amiibos are cards and figurines put out by Nintendo. They're like and can be used as normal trading cards or figures, but they also have a chip in them you can use them to add extra characters to a game.

I'm not sure. It technically isn't illegel. But people are also using this to sell bootleg ones, which is highly illegel.

Figuring out a way to cheat the game by making your own card for them that will trick the games code into thinking it's a real one? Yeah. Way too much work.

...Yeah you're right. If I did it I'd just feel bad about it. I'm too Hufflepuff at heart to feel alright with cheating at a game. Hopefully either I'll find him in game or we find him in a pack.
