So often women in the sciences don't get the credit they deserve. Vera C. Rubin discovered the existence of Dark Matter and an observatory named after her is nearly complete and already taking its first images. It should shed some light on parts of space so far away as to show us the way the universe looked much closer to the Big Bang.
