Well, joke's on Skeeter. Makaila and I get along wonderfully.

Speaking of Six though... Two weeks until previews (February 27 through March 1) and then our official opening on March 3rd through the 29th!

I mean that's the whole point I imagine. Instead of putting all the ridiculous stories out there, give a hint and get people to come to her. I'm sure it's a workaround as well to avoid lawsuits.

Though I have to say, the two times I've been mentioned have included Valentine's Day and some sort of 'drama' to my relationship. I'm beginning to sense a theme.

She's certainly the most notorious of the six and there would have been some amusement for me given my Dreams taking place in France and England and the whole Reign of Terror thing. Alas. Instead I get to be more subtle and sarcastic and bring people together, so that's fun to play with as well.

Gossip rags for 'entertainment' and often people forget that those of us in the industry are people as well, with lives of our own. So they don't actually care about the damage that might be done.

My parents and I have run into that more than once. It's almost as if these 'reporters' can't imagine a couple putting their son's best interests first and staying close so that he has both parents even if they aren't a couple. I mean it's not as if they were friends for years before I was born or have built a corporate empire together based off my father's fame as a survivalist.

One of them has a new boyfriend so of course they must be fighting constantly and it's their job to make sure everyone knows it. It's not something you ever really get used to is it? Even knowing that it's not true what they're reporting?

It's usually me having gotten someone pregnant not dad or mom being pregnant. Because somehow that's news worthy?

My parents laugh it off as long as the 'article' doesn't mention me. Then they get pissed off. I don't care what gets said about me but I get irritated on their behalf.

I can understand that. If she ever dragged my brother into it, my reaction would be quite different. Same if it were something that could impact my husband's business or nonprofit. This though? This is something we can both laugh off.
