I've noticed a few things always happen in the OC.

It snows in December, wishes temporarily come true, something wacky happens on or near Valentine's Day and never trust Halloween.

That's the cover-up. The truth is it's probably some kind of magic, though since magic is just math, I suppose there could be some kind of and here her response becomes increasingly full of advanced physics transdimensional theory and quantum mechanics and if she could she'd be drawing formulas and diagrams

Magic is simply science we don't yet understand. In my dreams, its governed by its own rules and mathematical equations regardless of if it's elemental or arcane in nature, or nature magic, or really any of the other types I've dreamed of. I spent most of my dream life studying magic.

And after all, what is a magical portal between two points but a wormhole?

I've come a long way in accepting this.

In my dream world, everyone has a little magical potential, but most don't have enough to make a life of it. That also requires a lot of training and study, just like turning a love of science into a career.

Privilege helps, obviously. That's one sad constant.
