I have to say, with the current state of, well everything, I'm honestly shocked that my work hasn't decided to permanently relocate me to along the border.

Not that I'm necessarily complaining. I'm just shocked it hasn't even come up with the constant back and forth I've been doing for the past...I don't even know anymore.

At present? I'm technically in refugee resettlement with the United Nations, so advocating for those seeking asylum and the like is part of that.

They could still be holding out hope that someone with authority actually puts a stop to this. By which I mean someone not in this administration.

Though it does occur to me that once I leave my current job, that I could potentially go to the border with you if there's something I can do to help there.

Maybe.

I'm not sure what that might be besides keeping me from snapping on the overnight trips. But I also wouldn't want it to get in the way of you getting citizenship since I'm sure they'll be keeping an eye on that as well. "Oh, she's trying to help? Can't have that"

Or who knows, maybe they'll see that I was MI6 and try to grill me for classified intelligence. Little do they know that I can actually keep my mouth shut about such things.

I imagine right now that it's more a fact I'm more useful where I am since I can travel as needed - even if it's been more frequent. But I do prefer being here and just having to travel back and forth as opposed to moving.
