I think I’m going to have to sell my car so I can get one with more cargo space. Even if it is weird to me to think of my and Kurt’s things as cargo. I still love my car but there’s just not enough room for me to to put his bag and my bags in it so that I can get them out easily on days when he’s at the campus daycare instead of his dad’s and after classes I have a training session and a photoshoot or an audition - because yes I will not show up to an audition in my school clothes.

I guess what I’m looking for here is recommendations. I want something reliable and safe, of course, and with lots of room for our things but isn’t too large for me to handle easily.

Are you picky about the mileage? Because I used to drive this really cute little mini-suv and it handled really well. But I'm definitely not doing the car thing any time soon, and it's kind of just collecting dust.

I'm not picky about the mileage at all as long as it's in good running order. At least I think that's what the mechanic said I needed to watch for.

How much would you want for it?

It's in really good order, I'm kind of OCD about that stuff. Spotless on the inside, too. And it's not too bad, I only bought it a year or so ago. It's a Mazda CX-5 and it drives really nice.

Pfffft, why don't you just consider it a happy baby present?

There's nothing wrong with that. Daddy normally handles the maintenance on my car to make sure it stays running right.

Are you sure? I could always trade you my car for when you are back up to driving. Park it in our garage and keep it up until you're ready for it?

You know, I read that for a second like you were referring to Logan, as he's the baby daddy, and it was doing some seriously amusing crap in my head.

Hmm, I think that might work out. When I'm back up to it all, I'm not sure I'm gonna be needing a bigger car. But it might... be a while, you know?

Do I even want to ask? ...I don't call him Daddy. Unless I'm telling Kurt that he's there and then it's always "your daddy". The less I remind my dad that his grandson's father is a bit older than him the better it is around our house mood wise for everyone.

Well mine is a cute little thing. Not quite a sports car because there is a back seat but it's not a family car I've learned. We have the garage space to hold it for you don't worry!

Daddy almost always parks in the driveway anyway and it's easier with Kurt's carseat to not try and deal with getting him out of the garage.

No, you don't. It was just a stupid thing my brain did, don't mind me. And yeah, that's probably for the best. Everyone's blood pressure can stay nice and even that way.

Bet it's real difficult to pack all that baby stuff into something small and sporty, too. This way you'll have plenty of space. If you're sure, anyway. I don't mind making a trade, though I'm not really driving anything right now.

In his words 'it's one thing to know I like older guys, it's another thing entirely when he has to think about it'. I just don't want any stress I don't need for any of us in the house so...

It's a balancing act with his stuff and mine. Mine almost always ends up losing. I'm absolutely sure Neena. You're saving my budget with this trade. And we'll take good care of the car until you're ready to pick it up and start driving again.

That makes sense. If I knew my dad I bet he'd probably say the same shit.

Alright, well, then it's a deal. Let's make some arrangements to get the car brought over and signed off and all of that red tape stuff! Congrats on your new cute SUV. And I guess also congrats to me on my new cute sports car.

It does make a lot of sense.

You're the best Neena. You know that right?
