So I had another Dream last night. Before I go into details, I got to learn more things about the pen I got from the dreams. Apparently it can be used to write, not just transform into a superhero. And it will always give the correct answers. Also using it that way apparently pisses off the talking cat that gave it to me. So. I probably should avoid doing that. It also has an antenna that pulls out of it and makes it an old timey cellphone? What year is this dream even set in?

Moving on, there’s a singing idol, Pandora, my whole 7th grade class is obsessed with, including tiny 13 year old me. I wound up late to school because I decided that it would be a fantastic idea to go all the way to the shopping district before classes because I wanted to get a poster of her, because she’s just so cute. Oh 13 year old me, you really are like 13 year old me here. Except I never played hookey for a poster. And don’t have a talking cat. Besides that, you’re pretty spot on. When I got to class, everyone was talking about how she was setting up a 24 hour idol music station, and that any guys that came down to the station to support her would get a free autographed CD. Which sounds kind of unfair to be honest. The company is giving away free satellite receivers to everyone in Tokyo to promote this new station, and I am just so excited for it. When I get home, I run right to my parents and beg Dad to set it up, and finally convince Mom to call the company to get someone else to fix it when he can’t get it to work.

I leave for school the next day, and… class is a ghost town. There’s only one boy in class, all of the girls seem like zombies, and the teacher is throwing away the class plans so we can watch TV instead. And trust me, this would normally be something I would be for, completely. But it’s just so weird. I look outside the class window, and I see one of my close friends just stumbling around. When I run outside to help her, she yells at me to let go of her, I’m making her late for TV. ...what? I decide to run home because this is all scaring me just a little. But I see Mom sitting in front of the tv and it’s just… snow. There’s nothing on TV but snow and it’s making the worst screeching sound I’ve ever heard. I ran up between her and the tv to see if she was okay, and she tells me that I’m interrupting her show. The noise gets louder, and that’s when my transformation pen turns into a cellphone. I get a call from the “boss”, whoever that is, that I need to go down to go down to the tv studio Pandora’s on. Because she’s actually a monster.

Of course she is. I’m starting to notice a theme with my crushes here.

I use the mirror to disguise myself as a police woman to sneak into the studio, to find Pandora brainwashing the audience, there and at home, into being her slaves. I quickly turn into Sailor V and use my compact as a boomerang, hitting her to try and break her spell. It doesn’t quite work and she orders the audience to attack me. I can’t use my attacks on them, they’re innocent people, a lot of them my classmates. They’re just brainwashed. I keep kicking and punching them to defend myself, but they keep coming at me. Artemis, the talking cat, yells at me that all the mirrors in her dressing room were removed and that I should use the compact. I shine it at her to reflect her true and… honestly hideous form. Like a zombie had a love child with a pineapple covered ham. I attacked her with my crescent beam and she melts into a pile of gross smelling mud. ...I’m not honestly sure that’s mud, thirteen year old me.

I change back into myself in time for everyone in the audience snap out of it. They’re all acting normal, confused about where they were and why. Which if they don’t realize what happened… neither does the teacher. By the time I run back to school, he thinks we all skipped class (which I suppose I did). I was given extra homework as punishment, and the cat stole my transformation pen away when I tried to use it to get through the math problems quickly.

Personally I feel I earned the right to use it, since going out to save the day is what got me the punishment in the first place.

It was the ham zombie, wasn't it?

13 year old you sounds smarter than a lot of the adults in my dreams, since she can recognize that brainwashing victims are innocent.

I mean, it wasn't their fault. I was going to defend myself, but I wasn't purposely going to hurt them. I don't know what kind of effect my powers would have on normal humans and I didn't really want to find out.

Does it always give you the right answers here like it does in the dreams?

I haven't tried it, but I'm really tempted to. I mean, it doesn't hurt to find out. Just... in case it's ever needed for an emergency. Whatever pen emergencies might come along.

If it does - you should definitely use it on assignments and stuff. The cat isn't here is it?

No, the cat isn't here. Doesn't mean he won't ever BE here, what with other people getting the pets from their dreams. Although with him being a talking cat, I'm not sure how that would work.

Well if he's not here...then I say give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen? It doesn't give you the right answers all the time?

That's a good point. Do talking animals show up here?

It would be cheating. ...But then again if I'm still doing the work I'm still learning from it.

I've never seen one. I mean, I think there are people here who are talking animals in their own dreams?

Just don't use it on tests and then it's no different than if you looked through the book to get the right answer right?

Possibly? And I know that there's a guy with an immortal dog on here. And I think somebody who has a pokemon.

Exactly. It would just be like looking up the answer while doing homework! Or using flash cards.

I think we're all jealous of the guy with the pokemon.

Totally not cheating! Just using a resource wisely.

...Probably. Just a little bit.

Thank you! I think I'll go test it on some puzzles to see if it works.
