The problem with a lull in the dreams is that I'm constantly waiting for them to start again. Only I'm not really sure what's going to happen in them, but I can only hope that eventually it involves escaping the countryside. Not that I'm not well aware that'

Well since people who are dating usually spend time together, I'm going to say I feel like spending time together is something I can't say no to.

Is that what they do? Here I thought they attempted to avoid each other. But good. Mostly because I like seeing you.

Good to know. I wasn't sure. Hmmm. We could brave the public and go for a walk on the pier?

I like the sound of that. Should we wear disguises? Like the glasses with the fake nose and mustache. ;)

You're probably right. It's probably best if we just go as ourselves and see what happens.

Naturally your ass.

But also the fact that you're such a good person and very passionate about your art and you put up with me. So that's a plus. There's quite a bit I like about you.

The country is no place to be trapped. But then, neither are the mountains But I guess it's not all bad. My niece and nephews are distracting enough and Hal isn't a terrible burden.

Neither is a hospital or a serial killer's home. The dreams suck that way.

I don't have family in my dreams anymore.

I can't imagine those would be, no. They do.

Family is complicated. I just have my brother, his wife, and their kids. But it isn't the worst. The kids are easy to distract with stories of my adventures in the Colbalts.

You know, now that I've gone nearly four months without any, I don't really miss them. I thought I would.

I could have done without the dying and the scar it left behind, but I don't miss it.

I can imagine it's not something one misses. I just don't think that what I've dreamt is the end. Unless I have some boring dreams.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]katebeckett

In a weird way, I thought I would. Not so much the drama and the heartache that I seemed to go through, but just the story. What happened to my friends in that life, what choices I would make. That sort of thing.

It took some coping, both that I wouldn't see those people again and accepting what happened that ended my dreams, but I eventually got there. Now it's just kind of a weird thing that happened for a few months.

Oh, no. I don't know anyone that's had their dreams end in a boring way. So I'd expect you're right and there will be more.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I guess that makes sense in a way.

Usually one says there are weirder things, but I can't think of anything weirder than these dreams.

Lucky me, then. I hope it doesn't end too poorly. I feel like I'm prepared for the worst all the same.
