Okay, so I’ve decided that I need to buy one of these for the house in Texas.

Either there or I need to move out of the beach house and that’s not happening. I love that house and I haven’t seen anywhere else with room for me to put my inflatable pub up when it’s warmer. Not that I can afford anyway.

Half of me wants it. An equal part of me is creeped out by the fact everyone will be able to see in.

That's why I'd put it in the back yard. People would have to really work at it to get to look inside.

You don't have very many neighbors, I take it?

Pretty tall fence around the backyard of my other house. Can't see over it without a step stool from the neighbor's yards.

There's something very creepy about someone looking over a fence from a step stool rather than just looking over without the fence in the way.

Our neighbors didn't have fences, but they did have a lot of my kick balls that they confiscated.

I didn't much like the neighbors on one side. One of their kids liked to spy on my roommates sunbathing so the tallest fence I could get.

Did these kick balls keep ending up in their yards?

....Yes, creepy.

They might have. I went through too many kickballs as a kid.

Nothing I wouldn't do to keep Claire and Eve safe back in Texas.

It was baseballs for me.

If we had creeps for neighbors, instead of grumpy ball stealling neighbors, I could definitely understand that sort of fence.

Why do they take pleasure in keeping them? Someone was an ass to them as a kid, so they need to pass it on to future generations?

Now that I'm thinking about those neighbors maybe that tent wouldn't be the best thing for the backyard until after I get curtains.

That's the only theory I can come up with. Although Sam always said some people just turn grumpy when they get old. They think it's their right or something to turn into grumpy old men.

That probably is a smart idea. Waiting for curtains until you get it.

I hope I never turn into one of those.

Same here.

Texas? That doesn't sound like a good idea during the hotter months. Although maybe when it's raining.

Little town called Morganville that nobody's ever heard of. It's where I grew up.

It might be nice at night to lay in and see the stars.

My Mom's family is from Austin, and we go back every now and then to visit them. All I can think of is how hot that's going to be, inside all of that glass.

It would be pretty cool to see the stars from inside it, though.

I haven't been back to visit my family in a while. I should probably do that pretty soon. Maybe I could get a company to make some curtains for it that would keep some of the heat out.

A pretty much unobstructed view while being protected from the elements and animals. A little bit of privacy in the outdoors.

Like those energy saving curtains? That might help.

Bear-free camping.

Couldn't be that expensive right?

Even better - bug-free camping.

I think it all depends on where you get the curtains.

That too, although the bears are a little worse than the bugs.

Looks like I'm doing some comparison shopping.

I'd rather deal with bears. I can see them coming and while I might not survive, I won't live with bitemarks that are itchy as hell.

I'm good with itchy bites, that's what they make hydrocortisone cream for. They don't make one for bear attacks. But at least that prevents either kind of attack?

Not a fan of being bit by anything to be honest.

Yes it would.

Neither am I, but one is just a much easier fix than the other, if I had to pick. Although why I'm picking between the two, I really don't know. That's kind of weird.

I do not think that you can stargaze here. I think that there is too much light.

Also, why would you need a house to stargaze in? Can you not do that everywhere without a house?

I think it depends on where you're at. I've got an amazing view from my beach house.

You don't need one but it would make things a lot more pest free.

The bugs are part of the atmosphere, I assume. I have never been out to see the stars.
