I just totally lost track of time in the darkroom. No one else had it booked tonight so I had no idea how long I was in there for until I cam out just now and looked at my phone. Turns out, I spent four hours in there. At home I used to spend a lot of time in my darkroom, but I've never spent that much time in the school's darkroom.

it's easy to lose track of time in the darkroom. i don't usually lose that much time, but it happens.

What's that like? Do you take pictures at crime scenes?

yes, i do. it's pretty interesting. there's a lot of dead people and crime scenes and sometimes having to have a better eye than the other people around. i kind of like it.

I can't imagine that it's easy, having to look at dead bodies so often.

I am. Well, I'm majoring in photography, but I've been taking pictures of as long as I can remember.

That sounds like fun! I've never tried taking pictures before. I mean, maybe with my phone, but nothing with an actual camera.

You can still take some pretty good pictures with a phone. I use digital sometimes too, but prefer using film, even if it isn't very popular anymore.

What sort of things do you like to take pictures of?

Anything really. Usually whatever catches my eye. Landscapes, people, things. It varies.

I think that might be a good thing, being able to shut everything else out and focus on one thing.

I pretty much only use the camera on my phone though.

It can be good, but it also means I have to make up time to do my other homework.

I don't use the camera on my phone a lot. Usually only if I don't have my camera or I'm sending my mom a picture.

Homework can be good for shutting out other things too. Do you go to UCI?

You're old school.

...did I say something confusing?

You did mention having a darkroom at your home, which I commented on...cause I never knew that homes had such things.

Crap. You're right, I did. I forgot about that. It's not a real darkroom. It's a makeshift one in my bathroom.

That's still cool. Did you make it yourself?

Hopefully no one needs to use the restroom when you are utilizing it for photography purposes. :P

My mom had helped me set it up. It's the one in my bedroom. So there was little chance that anyone else would be using it.
