Ha! I like it!
It's definitely possible! I mean, they can clone sheep, and they can clone cells. So I think when technology catches up, cloning endangered species could happen. I also just saw a documentary the other day where a scientist is studying chicken embryos and he found that in the early stages of development, chickens still have some key features that their dinosaur ancestors had. They have longer tails, the fingered hands, and some other features before the bones fuse during further development. He's attempting to use some gene therapy to try and express those dinosaur traits in chickens again. He actually succeeded in adding three vertebrae to a chicken's tail by the time it was born. Of course, that's just expressing the trait, not actually turning the chicken back into a velociraptor. But it opens the door for the possibility of knowing what dinosaurs actually looked like.
...or creating an actual Jurassic Park. And we know how that can turn out!
