Whoo! My darling niece took me out for my first real run in ages. Though "run" might be a generous term for it. Midna ran while I tried keeping up.

She's got this whole routine planned out to get me back into some kind of shape.

(Though round is technically a shape, thank you)

She swears up and down she could sign me up for one of those pole dancing exercise classes but I don't think anyone needs to see all of this me trying to make his way around a pole, much less a whole group of people.

No, we'll stick with some running and some yoga, see where that gets us.

It's good she's got a partner other than the pup! I personally prefer the zen of yoga, but the cardio's supposed to get the best results.

I'm Zelda, by the way. She's mentioned you plenty!

Can you really call that beastie a pup?

Oh you're Zelda! Yes, yes, I've heard about you too. I'm very happy for both of you!

You're welcome to join us for yoga any time, of course.

You should hear him whine over a piece of bacon. Complete baby.

Thank you! And of course, I'd love to. Yoga outside is guaranteed some sweat with the weather we've got.

Well so do I, honestly.

Oh good, sweaty's good. That mean's you're doing it right, I heard.

Running well's a good skill to have with the strange things that happen around here.

Thank you for that slightly odd advice.

You did pretty good with the running, Uncle Ironpaws! I still think you could tackle the pole too, like I said, any size or shape can - but we'll get you limber with some yoga first. :D

Yeah, I'll go ahead and get a little more bendy with the yoga, first. Then we'll see about hefting all of this around a pole.

I got your back. We can even do beach jogs, it's like a million times better on sand.

By better do you mean more difficult?

I don't doubt but I think I'll stick to my usual workout.

Although that is an image, if we're being honest.

Everyone else working late at the office couldn't understand why I was crying.

It's hard to explain just how much I was laughing.

Please, I beg you, stick to the running.

You should totally ~encourage~ your hubby's pole dancing desires.

I'm not so sure he desires it as much as he's too nice to say no. I do, however, encourage you getting him out of the house. Maybe I'll join you two for a run sometime.

It was his idea to potentially take lessons to impress you! I thought it was an awesome idea. And cute.

But you should definitely join us for a run, that'd be fun.

I'd hate to out run you. :)

Well, I mean, plus I can open portals. So I might cheat. But maybe because I like you a lot, I won't.

I am trying yoga and you can't stop me. In those hot pink shorts you keep thinking you've managed to throw away but keep sneaking back into my wardrobe.

How do you know the pink shorts survived unpacking?

No, you didn't! I'm so hurt.

I'm getting more. Dozens of pairs. In different colours. The kind that say JUICY across the butt.
