You get the 'wow' an 'cool' reactions to start, but once you start getting into the actual details of astrophysics people kinda switch off. Not much room in everyday popular culture for gluons and bosons. I've got a telescope set up on top of my building if you wanted to come over and have a crash course in astronomy? Got a mini fridge and some beer I take up there too.
I'll have to plan a return trip at some point, maybe take my girlfriend and her daughter over summer.
I'm about as green fingered as an atom bomb if I'm honest. My mom has always been the gardener in the family. We'll have to make a trip over there sometime. Got any events you would recommend to see?
