I'm worried for my mother. She's getting on in years, and her health isn't as good as it used to be, and the recent weather has her frightened and confused.

I'm not sure I'm able to take care of her the way I'd like to, any longer. If someone could recommend a sort of retirement home where she could receive good care when she needs it, I would be much obliged.

I'm sorry your mother isn't well.

Are there any senior's organizations or caregiver's groups that could make suggestions of homes?

I'm not certain where to start looking for those sorts of groups.

But thank you for your sympathy.

I'd guess the internet but I'm not really sure.

I'm sorry I can't help. Moms are important.

I just want to take care of her the best that I can. And I don't think I'm the right person for it anymore.

You are the right person. Helping her find a good place to live is how you're taking care of her.

Things get a little hard and you shuffle your ma off to the home, huh?

I love my mother very much. I would prefer to have her somewhere safe and cared for.

I work long hours. She needs someone more than myself.

She a little off in the head, or is it just physical ailments?

Just not able to move around as well. No sickness, just... getting older. I don't want to have something happen to her while I'm away.

What about hiring a live in nurse?

I considered that, too. But I thought if she was with other people her age, she might not be so lonely.

It isn't cruelty that is pushing me to this. I want the best for her.

Most of those places are kinda terrible.

Then I'll find her a nice one. Don't worry.

Maybe cuz it's too easy to just give up on your mom.

You don't know the circumstances and I'm getting upset.

Yeah, well, all kinds of people can say nice words and good intentions and none of it amounts to anything. I'm protective of moms.

My work keeps me away from home all day, and she's lonely.

I shouldn't have to explain my intentions to you, but they are good. I want the best for her.

My significant other is a psychiatrist. It's possible he has recommendations. I'm sure some of his colleagues work with homes and care centers.
