Well you did learn long ago that trying to insult me never works out for you, soooo.
I mean, the books I was wanting to use were from well known authors (J.M. Barrie and C.S. Lewis) yet because they are considered 'children' books, they were deemed not to the standard for the curriculum, without paying attention to what I was wanting to explore with them and the broader idea of looking at themes and how they shape us and our views on life.
Then the one told through comic style yet dealing with themes and experiences students would be having and should be allowed to explore. I may be teaching at secondary school, but that doesn't change the fact that the module would still prepare them and expand their critical thinking. I really despise this heavy emphasis on standardised testing.
I'm well aware. I'm fairly certain we have this discussion monthly at the very least.
