Chinboy, really now Clara Oswald have I ever called you names before? Maybe Button nose girl, or Dimplecheek? Granted all of those actually make you far more precious, and frankly really just ruin the whole insult concept.
Also, rubbish on them, but it's typical of the scholarly. The elitist heads of Universities absolutely enjoy pigeonholing so much into categories and deciding what makes which, and frankly it's just insulting to those who make fantastical literature that speaks a breadth of understanding.
Yes, the classic literatures come from a person with a wealth of knowledge, and understanding of how the world works and does a great job telling it through story and bravado. It's why they're 'classics' they show the human condition in its truest form; yet, those authors who aren't the elite, the ones who speak not from broad understanding of the world, but their own little corners, really speak of a culture on a sub-cultural level that really none of the broad, brilliant authors of the 'classics' could ever do.
