Drought weather seems to have settled in firmly on us. Not sure what is happening here. I've been hand-watering my crops including the greenhouse planters. It seems to help some with the drying I'm getting, but my herbs are getting outright cooked. I can't seem to find a healthy medium with them. Thinking about pulling them to pots and bringing all of them in the house proper. Sure the place might start smelling a bit like Martha Stewart's holiday kitchen, but my boy can't complain too much.
Better than when I tried to clean with vinegar.
Read about that in a book. Said it was good for getting rid of odors in a natural way. Should have known better.
Anyone also a farmer on this network? I'm having no problems with some crops so long as I handfeed. It's the herbs I'm not doing so well on. My thyme is nearly done for while my rosemary is absolutely brittle. The basil is wilted to a state I think even repotting may kill it all. I'll take any suggestions anyone has to hand. This is my first full crop out here in California and I got kids. I can't afford to lose everything in my herbal shop when I was counting on that stock line for our daily living.
