I have never taken as much time off of work as I have in the last couple of months. My inner workaholic is losing his mind. It's a wonder that anyone ever manages to get hold a job in this county, with the random truth spells and body swapping and whatnot.

I also have a newfound appreciation for just how annoying catcallers are.

I bet it does. Luckily I haven't had to take time off of my paying job yet, as I'm sure they'd be less forgiving about all these sick days I've been claiming.

I'm a doctor. I mostly volunteer at a free clinic, but I work twice a week at St Joseph.

Under California law, clinics are required to report any injuries I suspect are caused by domestic violence or firearms, though any other information is completely confidential.

I, however, am reluctant to enforce laws that may cause someone to not seek help when they need it, and have been known to see people after clinic hours.

Yeah, when you start getting actual items in your sleep and the ability to do some of the things you can do in your dreams, it's a whole lot harder to use that particular excuse.

I suppose you're right - if it's some OTHER person's body, that's a line people shouldn't cross.
