I am not going to stop talking to her, Boromir. I am attempting to mend fences, so there are no hard feelings from either party in this fiasco.
This is what I imagine happened and why you are both incensed. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. You inadvertently made a joke which was offensive (involving her brother and horses, I've gathered), and you did not apologize (which I am relatively certain your pride would not let you do after she ruined your best shirt). The date ended either immediately or shortly thereafter, and the number one rule of dating is that you are supposed to listen to one's date. Not talk over her. Or him. Whichever you might prefer, as I like to keep things equal sounding.
I would normally insist that you make a second attempt to set things right. However, it seems that - from what I am reading below - you have another dining engagement scheduled. That's good.
Please learn something from what happened before? I will attempt to set things right with Eowyn, or our paintball team will suffer for it, and I will feel poorly should she remain angry over this matter.
