I think Kiki is determined to make me fail out of school. You know how they say "the dog ate my homework", right? Well, I don't know if she was jealous or bored or just ran into a bout of species confusion, but I now have only half of my lab notes for Monday.

But it's so, so, so pretty out! I think I'll go out and try to reconstruct the other half of my homework at a cafe or in a park or something. Mmmmm, I think I'll make it a cafe so that I can get something delicious to eat. Maybe a pastry? And, bonus, that way nobody will sit on my work or chew on it!

I feel your pain. My husband's dog eats my paperwork on a regular basis. Why do they insist on eating paper? I don't understand it.

Some dogs -- and my cat, apparently -- seem to really enjoy the ripping part, or the sound paper makes.

That, or they know that we pay the paper attention and want to secure all of our attention for themselves, you know?

I think Brandir's dog just like eating paper, to be honest.

Oh, I wouldn't put that past them!

Perhaps you could scan your notes next time to avoid this happening in the future?

Oh? Oh!

That would actually be a great idea! I think my roommate has a scanner.... or something like it.

Unless Kiki decides to chew on the computer cables next, which would be even worse.

It's a practice I got myself into once I started university.

There are substances you can put on the cables to deter your cat from chewing on them.

Yup, I helped my neighbors put Bitter Apple all over the drapes so their rabbit wouldn't eat them, once.

I guess I could also soak my lab notes in Bitter Apple spray, but that might annoy my professors as much as my cat.

They might also become hard to read.

Right, that'd be a bummer. Although "soaked in spray" is better than "in twenty pieces", so I'd be ahead at least.

Not necessarily. Pieces can be taped back together, whereas completely smudged words cannot often be made readable again.

Maybe I could soak the paper in Bitter Apple before I wrote on it.

That might work.
