I do not believe people could forget the bloodshed, but recognize the events for the terrible truth of what they were, and then forgive the tresspasses of old, least in loathing and anger they should dare to repeat them.
Granted, but it is a far dangerous thing to focus so much on past, as it tends to blind one to the possibilities of the present and the hope of what the world could yet become.
