Heh! I assume there are a few out there who would be glad to hear I'd been robbed of my ability to speak. So sorry to disappoint. In quasi-solidarity, I am taking the day off to read. I have several books out of the library and I think I like a day to, well, read them.

Update, shortly thereafter...

Faiza, Anakin dropped off a bag of these. I'll try my best not to eat them all.

It's really shitty, not being able to laugh, like everything moves as if I'm laughing but there's no noise. I kinda woke Padme up with my reaction to that, but she smiled when I showed it to her so it's all good.

You know what else is funny? The nurses still come in and try to talk to us and it takes them a minute or to to remember that we can't talk.

I started having some of the side effects, and she was pretty eager to get me here so I didn't fight her on it. We've been hanging out here most of the day, playing games with the white board, watching some shows on my laptop, she even brought activity books with her and we colored for a bit. Well, she colored, and I did the best I could to keep it all on the page, I should have spent more time trying to write with my left hand when I was a kid because the artificial one isn't responsive enough to write/color.

One thing I learned is that cat's brains aren't as refined as we think. Forming coherent sentences was extremely difficult.
