So I've been digging around after seeing an interesting vase when I was at the museum the other day. It's Grecian, and depicts a woman with hard edges, and a male figure with light coming from a single eye. Like the mythical cyclops.

When I saw it, it triggered something because I'd remembered seeing it before. It was in one of my father's old books. It's believed to date to the early 5th century B.C.E, but little else is known about it, except where it was found nearly a hundred years ago.

Your archaeological science for the day!

You're serious about that?

Yes. I don't think it's the original, so there's a copy at the museum here. I had to have my friend scan in the pages from my father's book. He had a lot of notes about all sorts of things in that book. I don't know how I managed to forget that one.

Yeah, that sounds pretty unique. Must just be portraying a lost myth of some kind.

It's pretty interesting, really. The cyclops is most famously associated with Odysseus, but they're also found in the myths surrounding the Titans and forges and building.

The possibility there might be some story or myth that was lost is exciting!

I suppose it's a good thing my father had special interest in unusual myths.

That IS pretty interesting. You can't find anything more about them anywhere?

It's similar in style to this piece. Why don't you come into the study and I'll show you the page I printed out from the scan?

Yeah, I think I need to see this. Be right there. Then I gotta get ready to go to a wedding.

Old friends of mine, I'm really happy for them.

I'm glad that someone can FIND any happiness in all of this shit that keeps happening.

Hold on, feeding cats.

If it makes them happy then I'm happy for them.

Feeding the cats always makes them happy, at least for the next three seconds.

When did you realize you liked both?

During college. There was this girl in one of my environmental science classes. Caramel colored skin, long legs, really long curly hair in this ginger brown.

I kept staring at her.

One day we're walking out of class and she pins me to the wall, then kisses me with tongue.

That was a really good day.

I'm heading to the study now, we can probably continue this talk in person. Or you know, not. Whatever's good for you.
