Young lady
I struggle against pride very often. It's one of my sins, and I've been guilty of all of them at one time or another. Pride is perhaps the most persistent, but recent events and the words of my daughter are causing me to accept some humility. So I want you to know that I truly am taking into consideration your words, and I appreciate you taking the time to give me your viewpoint. To ignore all views for the sake of pride is...well, you know what it is.
I want you to know, young lady, that I don't hate you. I don't hate homosexuals. I merely think there's a certain line. I can promise you, however, that I will take into consideration everything you've said. You haven't been crude, you haven't insulted me or my faith, and you obviously feel very strongly about what you're saying. I admire that.
Perhaps there is truth in what you say. I hope there is, because truth be told, I grow tired of thinking about hell.
