I've got my 20 week ultrasound on Friday. I haven't decided whether or not I want to know the sex of the baby ahead of time.

Also, I apologize if whoever I snapped at earlier is on this network. But, in my defense, it really is NOT your dog's business whose baby I'm carrying. Not sure why he asked in the first place.

Can the animals stop talking now?

Oh, believe me. I know. Strange shit happens here.

No hard feelings.

Thank God for that. Still, i know someone I'm not bringing to the dog park til this passes over one way or the other.

I'd hate to hear the dogs arguing at the park over who gets to sniff each other and in what order.

Good GOD. That's...terrifying.

Right? Might be best to just skip the dog park all together until this blows over.

Or exposure to other animals at all, really.

Yeah, I'll be staying inside. Apparently, walking down the street isn't safe, either, since there are a lot of animals out and about.

Oh, man, that makes me sound paranoid.

At least yours is the devil you know, right? I don't have any animals in my life, and yet all the ones I DON'T KNOW are giving me their opinions on things.

And singing. My potted plants have started SINGING at me.

They say "It's good for the baby!"

...only if you're ON KEY, stupid fern.

Okay. wow. I really hope I don't end up with a talking college brochure or something now. Because I'd end up applying.

I might end up in a padded room. This place is going to drive me absolutely mental.

Kicking my potted plants out onto the balcony where I can't hear their singing. If anything else starts voicing opinions, I might have to leave the OC for a few days until this shit blows over.

I definitely get what you mean there.
Hey, maybe that'll teach them a lesson!
You never know!

Well but hey, nothing to cover them, no one to take care of them. They'll learn pretty fast out on their own in the real word. Like...what was it with the rose and the fox...The Little Prince. That rose learned.

The Little Prince? The Children's book? The artwork scared my niece so it was banned from the house.

That is what you're talking about, right?

That's the one yeah. That flower was kind of a demanding snot until she got left alone. Did it really though? Huh.

I guess that COULD be kind of disturbing for a kid, come to think of it. Especially the more intelligent ones who would worry about...well space and human issues.

She's always had a thing for the stars.

You're big into children's lit? As well as having a nosey dog?

French childrens' lit to a SMALL extent. I have a lot of nieces and nephews. Personally, the snake bit still freaks me out. I mean, I'm no Indiana Jones with them but still.

As you could probably tell from earlier today, I'm not all that big on animals in general. Especially strange ones. You should have heard the scream when I was visiting my brother and his family the other day. My nephew brought in his latest find: a huge bull frog he'd found in the stream behind their house.

Okay, yeah that'd be kind of...awkward. Reptiles in general sort of freak me out. I think it's the eyes...

Well, I think Bull Frogs are still amphibians, even though they freak me out as much as reptiles do.

Ugh, and the way some young boys treat them. Shoving them in their pockets and stuff. God, I hope I don't have a boy.

Oh right, the water thing. Guess who slept through high school science over here.

That said, yeah. I'm not exactly a hypochrondriac like one of my friends is but that's just going too far. Frogs are cute enough when they're doing their thing I guess. Away from humans.

The only reason I know is that my nephew corrected me. ;) So don't feel bad.

I feel that way about a lot of animals. Birds, for instance. Bugs, too. Definitely amphibians and reptiles. A lot of mammals, too.
