It is. There are less than 350 Amur tigers left in the world today. That means that if one were to die every day this magnificent species would be extinct within a year.
Very few zoos even have the privilege of housing these great creatures and the fact that there is a gentlemen in our county who has not only raised one but is eager to breed her is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am grateful to be involved in.
These animals should be cherished. They've ruled the world in perfect equilibrium for far longer than humans and look at the short amount of time we've spent destroying what nature nourished for centuries. It's our responsibility as caretakers of this planet to restore what we've broken before it's too late.
