Alyssa was waiting outside the nightclub in her favorite club clothes, a pair of blue hot pants and a red and white striped halter top. She was texting a few people directions, waiting for someone from her party of many to show up.

“That’d be me.” Bahorel agreed, leaning reflexively against the bar a little more, knowing, as he did, that the motion showed off his arms pretty well if he said so himself. Hey, she was gorgeous, she was a celebrity, and you couldn’t help but engage in a LITTLE friendly flirting when it came to stuff like this, right?

“Yeah, you didn’t strike me as the club type so much as the private conversation, bonding, getting to know each other methods of communication.” He agreed, flashing her a little smirk. “At least, I mean, I could be totally off base here, but that’s the impression I’ve gotten. Cute dress though, by the way.”

As for ending up here, well. “It’s all so much cleaner and safer than where I work.” Bahorel decided to play up the dangerous angle just a little here. “I don’t think anybody’s getting knifed tonight.” He added, then remembered to look a little haunted as he said it. “So, you know. Pretty nice. I could have fun here.”

It might have, but she did not notice. Or if she had, she certainly didn't show it. He was handsome, yes, but that tended to be something she didn't pay attention to. At the smirk, she smiled right back and hid her laugh behind her drink. "I'm afraid you have me figured out so soon. But thank you, about the dress I mean. Yolande was not as impressed by my choice of clothing."

Marie raised her eyebrows at that, tilting her head. "People get "knifed" often at your job? Really?"

No? Well, Bahorel would have been disappointed if he'd noticed that kind of thing. As it was? He tended to go on anyway, and hey, he'd gotten her attention anyway. That was a definite start, which was sort of why he'd gone with the knifing story anyway. And it did happen fairly often, that was kind of a given for the Drunk Tank, as they called the place.

"Usually me." he said, shaking his head ruefully, like he was trying to pass this off as just a occupational hazard. "It's typically my job to STOP that kind of thing, but when you've got five on one, things tend to get a little messy." True story too, he'd done that once. Admittedly, they hadn't exactly been in the best shape but that was so not relevant just now.

Bahorel leaned a little on the bar, as he spoke, shaking his head a little. "I'm typically the main line of customer defense so if someone gets past me and to whoever's on door, I'm obviously not doing my job right. I try to make their safety my priority all the time."

A little scar on his right forearm, souvenir of one such incident was definitely showing now, if she'd care to notice.

Marie's eyebrows lifted as he went on, her lips rounding in an "oh" as he admitted to being the one getting slashed at often. "Five on one?" she breathed. Leaning towards him on the bar a little, she rested her chin on her hand and listened to him, hanging on his every word nearly. "That's a very brave thing you do for your job..."

This time, however, she does notice the scar. Losing inhibitions to alcohol, she reached out and traced her finger over it, frowning. "Did this happen one of those times?" she inquired curiously, lifting her gaze back up to his eyes with her fingers still tracing over the scar.

"Well, I do what I can." Bahorel explained, looking like he was very much trying to shrug it off. Which, okay, wasn't all that common to him. What could he say? he had awesome job stories at least, in which he usually came away looking like a badass. It was a living. "I mean, I can protect myself, you know? So many people could get hurt."

He caught her eye as she traced the scar, then took a breath that might have looked hesitant, like he didn't exactly want to talk about it. Nothing further from the truth, but Hell. "Yeah, it did." he said, quietly. "And it bled a lot more than anything else, actually. Well, knife wise. The broken nose wound up pretty bad too. People get so edgy when they're drunk.

She tilted her head at him, eyes still wide with curiosity. "A broken nose too?" she cooed, blinking a little. Her fingers wrapped around his arm as her eyes widened with excitement and she moved a little closer to him.

"I've got it! You were going to look for bodyguards for me to interview, right?" she paused, grinning brightly. "But clearly you're the best candidate for the job. Would you at least consider it?"

"Well, you know." The cooing was nice, Bahorel thought, and hey, look how excited she was. Marie Louise of all people. It'd be a chance to find out if those rumors about her and her co star's on again off again thing were true if nothing else, and if the flirting thing actually came to a night or two? That'd be kind of amazing. She seemed like she'd be fun really.

"I DO hate to leave so many people unprotected BUT..." Bahorel gave her a slow smile. "I hate to leave YOU unprotected too. The thought of that is kind of horrifying, especially with what you posted about online. I...could give it a go for those reasons."

Thank the alcohol. It's what also has her so ignorant to all the flirting happening. Her smile softened a little bit. "Oh! Really? I mean, I think you're the best choice, but I would hate for you to leave your other job for something as silly as this."

Still, her excitement is apparent. "Here. I'll give you my phone number and you can call or text me when you're absolutely sure this is what you want to do?"

Thank you very much, Alcohol. Seriously. Bahorel sort of loves the effect it has on women when it makes them flirty and likely to come to him. Not that he can't make the effort on his own, or anything, but well, it's pretty nice when he can get met partway. Which he actually assumes is happening right now. Silly Bahorel.

"Well, I don't know if it's silly exactly." He admits. The truth was, The Drunk Tank had sort of been losing its appeal lately. "When you're to the point where you don't look forward to every day, that's probably a sign you aren't entirely happy at work." he said.

"And well, I'm sort of started down that path. I think that this could be the sort of thing that'd make me VERY happy in the long run. And perfect. Let me get you mine." And, even though this was a job, he was going for the red phone, the real one, as opposed to the tracfone used for work, and the one that he used to store the numbers of his one night stands in case he wanted to hook up with them again. The red phone was something rare and special. Treasure this!

Enjoy this while it lasts. Marie Louise will likely not partake in more than a couple drinks in one night again after this. If she had any idea the meaning of the red phone as opposed to another? She'd give him a lecture about it. And would not think it was something to treasure. She'd just as happily be on the other phone. Still, as it was, she took out her phone and held it at the ready. "Give me your number and I'll text you mine."

It was a precaution, seeing as it was a very crowded club. And she was on the Hollywood it list. "I believe you should enjoy going to work, otherwise it just makes life miserable. I hope that this will be the chance you get to enjoy work again."

At least it wasn't only women in the phone. Bahorel also had his friends in there. And that was about it. His mom was even in the work phone too. Not that he ever called her. But at least the red phone wasn't ALL repeat booty calls. And she never had to know.

And that made a whole lot more sense, considering. Anybody overheard and there'd be chaos. Bahorel would be a bad bodyguard if he let that happen, so fired off the number for hr.

"Agreed." he said. "And life's too short to be miserable when there are so many awesome things about it looking me right in the face, saying 'hey, you should try switching careers'. I think it really could be."

Yes, but for the main purpose of the phone she would still find it appalling. As it were, it's a good thing she never has to know. As he recited his number to her, she entered it and sent him a text straight away.

This is Marie Louise. :) Keep in touch!

Tucking the phone away, she smiled back up at him, completely missing what he was saying. "I'm glad. I'll see what we can do... what kind of contract I can have my attorney conjure up. I'm really glad you're considering this, however. And I'm sure we can offer you a better pay than your current job."

Yeah, that was probably true. Bahorel will make sure that she never NEVER finds out about that. It's not as though it's the sort of thing he'd go about professionally, that's for sure. At any rate, he grinned as the text alert, thankfully, a sane one, and not something completely appalling, unlike the various ringtones he'd assigned, came up and he read the message and started typing back:

Bahorel here. Of course I will! :)

"That'd be great. Better pay and less chaos. I could handle that. I don't mind chaos but sometimes...yeah." It'd be nice to be able to relax leaving work instead of waiting until he was safely home for once.

Yes, thank goodness for a sane text alert as well. Her own was a chime, something light and absolutely indicative of her personality. She glanced down at his reply, smiled lightly, and tucked her phone back into her purse.

"Less chaos unless Yolande is involved, generally. But I'm sure she's no worse than what you've experienced at your current job."

Smiling brightly, she pulled away to hold out her hand, to shake on their agreement. "Then it's settled?"

Bahorel made a mental note never to change those, and never to bring the black phone, which had a ringtone that basically screamed out "Boooty Call" when he got texts or phonecall, with him when he went to work for her.

"Yolande seems...I've dealt with all kinds of people." Bahorel said, at last, since he'd seen a LITTLE of her. "And well, one of my friends is kind of like an exaggerated version of her so. I think I can deal with it. I still let HIM live." he added, smirking to show that was a joke. Well, mostly one.

He slipped his own phone back into his pocket and reached to shake hers. "Of course it's settled. I'll see about getting the notice put in next night they've got me on."
