Alyssa was waiting outside the nightclub in her favorite club clothes, a pair of blue hot pants and a red and white striped halter top. She was texting a few people directions, waiting for someone from her party of many to show up.

Ariadne was just beside herself. Arthur had been out of town on business for awhile, and he wasn't really a nightclub sort of guy anyway. It was something she was looking forward to more than she would have expected; reminded her of her undergrad years.

She was only wearing black pants and a slinky top, but it was still a far cry from the typical sweaters and suits of work. For a split second, Ariadne felt more like the 25 she was instead of the 40something she tended to put on at work.

Going out and dancing wasn't something Betty Ross tended to do. That was impulsive and spontaneous and not at all part of her systematic approach to research or her life. Bruce might not vocalize it, but routine was very welcome in light of 'the other guy'.

So a little impulsive night on the town while he and Tony did something related to Science! was, if you asked her, just what Dr. Ross had ordered.

Eowyn had spent the day eating awhole lotta cake and frankly needed some downtime.

And by 'downtime' it was more 'exercise' since ooof. Cake.

"Text Pepper," she told Betty over the din of the music. "She needs to get out a little more often too!

It had been downright precious that the boyfriend of whatever girl who had decided to put on this little impromptu party had 'warned without warning' James off of his ladyfriend.

The girl was clearly far, far too young for him, and frankly as he got older Bond had less of a desire to go after attached women. Too messy. And he didn't care to over complicate his own situation at home if he could help it.

But a night surrounded by beautiful women and decent drinks was welcome at this point, as a great deal had been required of him at late. MI6 had warned him that the OC was a hotbed of bizarre activity, and they certainly had not been kidding.

Rest and relaxation were always in order. On his own terms.

He'd probably been warned off because the last man Alyssa had slept with had been James' age. Alyssa saw him arrive and grinned, detatching herself from the situation for a moment to walk up to him. Her heels made her seem a little less petite than her 5'3", and she grinned, hands on her hips as she walked over.

"If it isn't our bodyguard. Thanks for coming." Alyssa's accent was from James' backyard, pure Chelsea posh. "Alyssa Hamilton," she smiled, sticking out a hand.

"Bodyguard, I rather like that title," James replied, sliding back into that tone just as easily, smiling at Alyssa as he gave a chaste kiss to the back of her knuckles before letting go to order a scotch.

Martinis in a club were déclassé.

"Happy to be of service, ladies."

Alyssa's mum had actually gotten her the fake ID, and she was using it to keep a steady stream of vodka and Red Bull in her system. It wasn't gin, but it'd do. "I bet your services would be fantastic," she murmured, half under her breath, all teasing.

What a goddamned week. And it was Wednesday.

Merrill was safe and sound, everyone seemed to be happy and it was likely reasonable to assume that never again in her life would Marian be subjected to someone eating a raw fish.

She could hope.

Right now, she wanted to dance, possibly for hours coupled with drink and shiny lights. It wasn't too much to ask for, was it?

Usagi really was rare in the Soap Industry in that she never went somewhere expecting to be recognized. That just struck her as icky and weird, which were two things she really tried not to be.

It was such a surprise the bouncer didn't make her pay a cover, and even more when the bartender gave her a free drink from a fan (a really nice lady who asked her to sign the napkin).

What a great night!

It simply wasn't a party if Yolande wasn't there. The thing about life was that it was for living, and that absolutely included going to an ultralounge on a Wednesday evening, surrounded by music and friends, if that was what one wanted to do.

Besides, who knew who you might meet in such a place? Certainly it would be diverting, wouldn't it? Marie Louise and Antoinette simply had to come as well. Yolande pulled out her phone, shot off a text, and waited by the bar, smiling at all, at ease with everything.

Marie Louise got Yolande's text and shot back a quick one, assuring she'd be there, before finding her way to the club. Her outfit wouldn't usually be considered typical club attire...

Then again, this was Marie Louise we're talking about. As soon as she spotted her friend she waved and made her way over.

Yolande smiled in a way that was equal parts fond and exasperated at her friend because seriously. She kissed each of Marie Louise's cheeks, then stepped back and shook her head.

"Some day, darling. Some day I'm getting you in proper club attire. But I can see that day is not today. Want a drink?"

"You'll have to take me out and play dress up to do that," Marie laughed as she returned those cheek kisses. Her hands had grabbed Yolande's and she gave them a squeeze before she smiled. "Yes please, I could really use one right now."

The absolute BESTEST part about being a DJ that people recognized and stuff was that when you walked into a club, people wanted you to do things! So that's where Pinkie was, hanging out in the booth with the house DJ (who looked so happy!) and helping mix, ordering tacos and having the best night EVER!

She danced, played, and had so much fun! Sometimes the bestest part of the night was the stuff you didn't even plan!

Wilee was single.

Wilee had been single a long time.

Problem was between law school and his job, he barely had time for his friends let alone meeting a girl who hadn't already been put off by his... everything.

So there he was, spending time at a club that he already was kind of hating (seriously, who called dubstep music?) and wondering if it had been a big damn mistake.

Still. The beer was good.

Normally, Joker wouldn't go near a club. But since he got the dreams, and more specifically, the dreams of Shepard dancing?

He had hope.

"C'mon, Shepard. Give us a miracle tonight." He grinned over at EDI. "Let us watch the legendary mating dance of the water buffalo."

If the universe had any mercy, they'd be spared seeing Shepard dance. EDI had heard claims that it could make people go blind if they looked at her wrong, and she was in no hurry to test them.

"It's probably a good thing Dr T'Soni doesn't come to this kind of place. I'd hate to see their version of a... mating dance." Asari were, after all, very, very strange!

"Oh, come on. It's like science. Terrible, badly executed, painful to watch science."

Joker was holding EDI's hand, but not squeezing it. It should have been a lot worse, trying to get used to this crap but in some weird way the dreams had actually prepared him for it all.

As well as giving him the problem in the first place. So it wasn't exactly even.

Science that may well end the world? EDI had a theory... "Someone would probably write a paper. 'The Mating Dance of the Shepard, and Why That Summons Reapers'."

Well, you never knew.

Thea had slipped out of the apartment wearing a jacket so Ollie didn't get a look at what she was wearing to this impromptu thing. He didn't care if she went out and did stuff, no, but clubbing suggested he was going to snatch away her fake ID and there was no way she was chancing THAT. So she'd made up a story about a study group and made her way to the club. It had been WAY too long, and it was time to start perusing the merchandise again. Let's see...where first...

Bahorel hadn't planned on spending his night off in a club, but he'd been getting kind of sick of the Drunk Tank lately, and when he'd been asked to come in for an interview, he'd jumped. Now that that part was over though, well, why the hell not enjoy it, right?

So he was now lounging against the bar, drink in hand, idly scanning the crowd for lack of anything better to do. Hey, the music was better and the atmosphere. He could see himself fitting in here.

Marie Louise recognized him from the network, but only after peering at him a little just to be sure. She made her way towards him, stopping at the bar right next to him and ordering her drink. She didn't say anything, it was in her nature to let the other person start the conversation. This might come off as shy sometimes, but she was anything but.

"Hey." Bahorel gave her a once over, noticing the outfit seemed a little out of place for here, and then he got a good look at her face and. "Oh wow. I actually sort of know you. I didn't get the idea the club scene was your usual scene. Having any fun?" She could be. If she wanted.

Marie glanced at him at first, smiling politely and nodding... Until he continued. Oh, good. She hadn't been wrong. Her lips quirked a little as she turned to him, tilting her head. "Oh! You're the one from the network!"

She giggled and took a sip of the drink she was handed, thanking the bartender politely, before turning back to him. "It isn't usually, but my friends insisted I join them."

She may not have realized it, but she fluttered her eyelashes as she shrugged her shoulders. "A little, yes. And you?"

Serafina had decided on impulse to respond to the net post about going out dancing and now found herself in a club. She had a drink and the music wasn't too bad so it wasn't a complete disaster, so far.

Most of the people in the club were younger than her but she didn't feel too out of place and it had given her a nice excuse to dust off her dancing clothes.
