Where: John's Apartment
What: Dream Narrative + phone call
Rating: Low
Status: narrative complete. phone call in progress.
He was old -- in body and face, as well as in age. But still himself. There was never really a question there. He was a Time Lord: age meant nothing. Just random numbers to keep track of.
As a Time Lord, he had to live by a strict set of rules. The law was that he was not allowed to interfere with anything he came across. He'd broken the rules. And now, he faced something worse than death --being erased from the whole of time and space.
His brother, Braxiatel saved him though. He told him to run (running: it was something he would do often and well), and so he did. He ran. He took his granddaughter Susan, and the Hand of Omega and he found himself a Type 40 Tardis.
And he stole it.
He was an impossible being all on his own, and he'd just stolen an outdated blue box to travel the whole of time and space in.
He was The Doctor. And he'd just stepped into the most beautiful thing he'd ever saw.

John Smith woke. He sat up in bed, and stared at the ceiling for a long moment. He was a man with a terribly large imagination, and often he had strange dreams. This one though, he knew was different. He remembered it clearly, the details fresh in his brain. This dream was one of those ones. Half real -- one of the ones the people on the internet talked of often.
The Doctor. He had no doubt that that had been himself. John smiled, running a hand through his hair in the dark of his room. He was the Doctor. And he'd stolen himself something wonderful. Even if he didn't completely understand yet, he felt… amazingly pleased. Somehow gratified. The urge to tell someone about it was overwhelming -- and he'd picked up his phone and dialed in Tara's number before he was even fully aware of it. Certainly, she wouldn't mind a phone call at 3AM?
