Cadence gave a hearty sniff, and lifted her head to look around at the soft voice coming toward her. She gave a nod, though it was far from the truth. The tissue clutched in her hand wouldn't do much damage against the salty trails from her eyes to her chin, but she lifted it anyway, to wipe at her cheeks.
"No." She said, and it sounded as if there was absolutely no air going through her nose, in or out. "Not really."
