Who: Ishigami Senku and open to anyone
Where: Berkley Student Union
When: Tonight
What: Science Club Unites
Status: Ongoing, open to anyone. Up for multiple threads if desired

Senku was excited for tonight. He had been planning to get a large science club going for some time now and he decided to finally get this started. Dressed in a full lab jacket, Senku had taken over the student union, much to the shock of some of the students using the large space for study.

Tables were lined with various chemistry experiments. Glass vials had different colored liquids in them. Even as he was setting everything up, Senku handed a vial to a student nearby, not really caring if they were here for science club or not. "What you're holding there is a pretty nifty chemical. A bit dangerous, of course, so don't go getting it on your skin. You staying for the science or are you too chicken to find out how to have some fun?" Senku asked, grinning.

Without waiting for a response, he started to grab another vial, constantly in motion and already on his way to the next, not even hesitating to stand on the table to get to what he needed.

Nova still wasn't sure why she was going to this science club. Sure, Leroy had insisted that it was high time that Nova went out and made some friends her own age, but Nova wasn't entirely convinced that that was necessary. She'd gotten by just fine without friends so far; her family was really the only people she needed.

But it wasn't like she had anything better to do, and the only science that Leroy and Ingrid were interested in was science that usually wound up in someone winding up dead. It might be interesting to be able to actually talk to other people about physics and electronics and renewable energy, instead of how much cyanuric acid was needed for the perfect batch of cyanide or how to make C4 without losing a hand.

She felt a little awkward walking into the room, but thought it would probably be a good idea to introduce herself to the guy who was fiddling around with all the chemicals. She pulled her t-shirt down, cleared her throat, opened her mouth to introduce herself and then...

He was shoving some kind of vial at her. She took it by reflex, and then held it up to eye level. She'd been handling dangerous chemicals since she was six, and even if she was normally wearing gloves when she did so, she wasn't too perturbed. "Oh yeah?" she asked. "What is it?"

Senku paused for a moment, lifting a brow like he was disappointed how he had to explain what the chemical was. "The two vials on the table contain hydrogen and nitrogen. Combine one part hydrogen and three parts nitrogen gives you nitric acid. It's fairly yellow color says this isn't as pure as I'd like it to be, but we are in a make shift science lab, after all."

He motioned with his free hand to the various vials around them, then pointed back at the vial in her hand. No need for an introduction, as he had science on the brain. "So, dear student, what can you make with nitric acid? Any ideas?"

Nova’s eyes narrowed at the look that this guy gave her. She could hardly be blamed for not being able to identify a yellow, liquid chemical within seconds of getting it, and his explanation was condescending as all hell. She resisted the urge to grind her teeth. Especially not when he asked her what could be made from it. If he wanted to treat her like an idiot, well, she’d just have to prove him wrong.

“Nitroglycerin and trinitrotoluene, which some people,” like Ingrid, who probably couldn't pronounce trinitrotoluene despite the fact that it was one of her favourite things to make, “know better as TNT,” Nova asked, and if she sounded a little condescending, well, this guy deserved it. “But it can also be used in fertilizer, metallurgy, and it can be used to reprocess nuclear fuel.” Take that.

"100 points," was Senku's casual response, blinking briefly to show that he was impressed st her knowledge, but then he was moving again, barely gave her much chance to say more. "It's pretty much illegal to make homemade TNT, so I'm afraid we won't be doing something as cool as that today. If I were to give this to a doctor, it could even be used to cure warts." He grinned a little, then grabbed the next vial.

The liquid was clear. Beside him, he also had an oxygen tank, and motioned to the set of vials nearby that appeared empty. "Oxygen, hydrogen and chloride. We're going to combine these together along with the nitric acid. Hope you're prepared to get excited, because this is a pretty cool chemical."

Nova frowned a little, quickly running through the chemical combinations in her mind. “Aqua Regia?” she asked after a moment, not completely certain. She’d never had cause to make something like it before.
