Waking up and seeing himself in the mirror had been freaky enough. He was pale, sure, but not this damn pale and his hair. It had been turning white. Something was obviously wrong with him. When he had gone to the net he had seen others talking about strange things happening to them as well, which means it was more of the crazy shenanigans this place liked to pull on everyone. That wasn’t the worst part of it all, though. Getting told he had to eat brains was the worst part. He didn’t want to do it. Muttering and sighing as he sat down on the couch, phone in his hand as he commented back and forth with Liv, he glanced up when he heard the front door open and close. Cisco was home. “Soooo, I think I’m a zombie,” he said once Cisco was in the living room. * Cisco was putting his backpack down on the couch when his pale as death boyfriend showed up, and his brows knitted. “I’m sorry, a what?” He gave him a once over again as he reached out to touch one of his hands that wasn’t holding that phone. He was still cranky at that girl who said she’d help Stiles, but he knew he couldn’t do much at this rate. Did he feel like a zombie? Cisco looked at said hand he reached for and then back up at his face. He did kind of look like one. “It’s like a weird bad teen movie. I’m dating the zombie from werewolf high.” He tried to tease a little, but mostly was worried. “How are you feeling?” * “A zombie,” Stiles repeated a little bit slower so Cisco would catch what he was saying. “Haha, except this isn’t a movie and I’m a freakin’ zombie. I have to meet up with Liv and get brains.” God, he can’t believe he just said that. “And before you ask, no I can’t just not eat it. I already asked that question. I’ll hurt people if I don’t.” * Cisco stared at him while he said it and the backpack sort of hung on his forearm for a moment. A really bad movie. “Was that the network bitch?” He didn’t even get her name, but she was not on his trust list. “I should go with you.” Not that he wanted to see Stiles have to eat brains. Brains. Ugh. How was he supposed to get past that one? That had to be traumatizing as hell for him. No gelatine like food forever in their household. “How exactly are you going to get brains?” He touched Stiles opposite hand in an attempt to be comforting, the one not holding the phone. Trying not to be totally weirded out for his sake. It was bad enough for Stiles. * “Yeah,” He said with a nod of his head. “I mean, if you want to come along with me, you can.” Stiles was fine having company or no company. He was still stuck on the fact that he was going to have to eat actual brains. He shrugged. “I don’t know. But I don’t have a choice. I don’t want to hurt anybody.” He’ll suffer through the gross if it meant not hurting anyone. Especially Cisco. He pulled away. Not really feeling in the mood to be touched. “We should go the minute she replies back with the address. I’m getting pretty damn hungry.” * “I don’t want you alone with her.” He didn’t trust her. Granted now that Stiles was the zombie it was more likely she had to worry. “So you have to eat brains..did she say where she was going to take you?” Ugh. This was the opposite of sexy, he wasn’t offended when Stiles pulled away. He was internally freaking out too. All those zombie movie marathons were suddenly very unappealing anymore. “I think we should take you to the agency too. The place I work...they might be able to help. There might be something less...brainy.” More sciencey for them to try. If Stiles was getting hungry though, they needed to do something about it before the worst happened. He didn’t want to be a zombie. Or dead. Whatever happened he didn’t want it. * “Why not?” He asked, a little confused. “She’s not taking me anywhere. She works in a morgue. She said to meet her there.” And that’s what he was going to do once he had the address. He crossed his arms, almost hugging himself. Anything to not touch Cisco or get touched right now. He wasn’t sure how this zombie thing worked yet. Not until he could ask Liv questions. So, for now, no touchy. “I have this feeling that there is no substitute for this. If there was, wouldn’t she have told me?” He would think so. Instead he was told he needed brains. Human brains. He moved away from Cisco and went back into the living room, sitting down on the couch once he was near it. “Why couldn’t I have become something much cooler?” * “Lets go then. I’ll call the car?” Cisco pulled his backpack back on. It had all kinds of fun survival tools in there. Okay, maybe nothing for a zombie boyfriend but at least for other things he could survive. Why hadn’t he bought that amazon zombie kit? Of all the worthless crap he bought he couldn’t have bought that too? He watched Stiles hold himself like that and wanted to reach out and pull him in but it looked like that was the entire opposite of what he wanted. He hated not being able to fix this. “I don’t know, but I don’t trust her either.” It wasn’t fair, Stiles was the one who’d always thought powers were awesome, and this is what he was stuck with. “I don’t know, I’d give you mine if I could.” * “Or I can just drive.” He wasn’t sure if he wanted someone else looking at him right now. Driving them to the morgue just seemed easier right now. “If this is her...power...thing, she’s going to know more than we do. I have to go to her. See what she says. If she tells me I can’t control this...you’re going to have to lock me up.” That was the only way he knew to keep people safe. “I almost wish I were dealing with yours right now.” He sighed just as the phone let him know he got a new message. He looked at it and then looked at Cisco. “I have the address.” * “Can you in that condition?” In what condition, the dead and dying?...Cisco didn’t want to think about what zombie meant. He frowned a little at the idea and shook his head of it. “Maybe I should learn to drive.” He made a face. Driving scared him, but they knew nothing about Stiles’ new condition. What would happen if he drove and froze up or something? It probably wouldn’t happen just then, but later on he’d look into it. He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “I know, but I still don’t like it. If she makes one wrong move toward you…” Cisco wasn’t normally the fighting sort but when it came to the people he loved there was little he wouldn’t do for them. ‘Guess we should go, I don’t want to find out what happens when you get too hungry..” He admitted with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood a little. * “Yeah, I don't see why not. I feel fine. I’m just getting overly hungry here.” If he didn’t feel well enough to drive, he wouldn’t have suggested that he do it. “Yeah, I’m thinking it’s time you learn to drive.” Especially when crazy things happened to them in this damn county. He grabbed his keys and a hoodie and put it on and put the hood over his head. Yep, he was hiding as best as he could. “I don’t want to find out either,” he said before heading out. * |
