Who: Brandon Sullivan & Lucas North What: Dinner following this When: Monday evening Where: Mr Chow Restaurant, Los Angeles Rating: PG-13 Status: Complete
Brandon's last text said he wasn't going to show and although Lucas had read it he didn't put any value into it. He had meant it when he said it was just dinner and that he didn't like eating out alone, and, besides, a table for two was booked at Mr Chow already because he had to be in LA for business. Whether Brandon would show up or be adamant about not joining Lucas wasn't something that particularly worried him. The Irishman's paranoia would take care of it and make him a liar once again.
The Englishman arrived at five to eight, strode past the line of people hoping to get a seat without having made a reservation, and was shown to his table by a lovely young lady with a lovely smile. Would he like to hear the specials or would he rather wait for his dinner companion to arrive? No, it was fine. Could she put something together for two, three to four courses? As for drinks, he'd be happy to have whatever the house recommended.
As she fluttered away, he reclined into his seat and let his gaze drift until he spotted a familiar looking face coming towards his table. So much for 'I said I'm not going'. Although, it was obvious Brandon didn't want to be here. He looked like he was walking to his own execution and Lucas suppressed a small sigh.
