After reading Derek's texts messages to her, Cora knew there was something going on. What that something was, she didn't know. Derek didn't seem to be in a sharing mood. That's okay, though. She was pretty sure she could get it out of him before the night was through.

Cora was already sitting at a table with a drink in her hand when she saw her brother finally come in. She waved him over and then waited for him to walk on over.

"You should really slow down there. Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself with all of that stuff." Yes, she was going to keep teasing him. She was kind of surprised that she didn't hear Stiles' name. Those two had seemed to be attached at the hip the last she heard.

"Seems like a tease, if you ask me." She shrugged and waited until the waiter was gone before answering. "Oh, you know, work and friends. Saw mom the other day."

	Derek for the life of him right now was avoiding saying Stiles name and hoped Cora would do the same. Though he doubted it. It was Cora. Brat." 	Cora gasped. "Calling me names. Such a wonderful brother I have." She rolled her eyes and took another sip of her drink. "I couldn't imagine wanting to get drunk and then not being able to." She took another sip of her drink before setting the glass down on the table. "She's doing fine. She misses you, though. I think she wants to do something with you. Alone." 	Hearing that their mother missed him and wanted to do something alone, he shook his head. "I can't... The whole wolf thing... It still freaks me out, and I don't want her to see it or know about it." He said as he finished the second beer in one gulp. "And I call you names because I love you, punk." Cora tilted her head a little and then rolled her eyes. "That sounds like an excuse to me." It really did. "If you're worried about the wolf, just don't hang out with her any time around the full moon." That seemed like an easy solution to the problem. "Anyway, I thought Stiles helped you with that?"

With a sigh, Cora shook her head at Derek once more. "Keep calling me names and I'm ditching your ass."

"Guess I could do that." And there it was. A name he really wasn't trying to hear right now. His body had tensed slightly as be exhaled deeply. Looking to the waitress. "Jack on the rocks" he said for his third drink.

"Yeah he was." Was all he said about Stiles.

"Yeah yeah, such a big girl can't even handle names from.her brother nkw." He teased as his drink was placed before him and he took a sip. He didn't even feel the burning sensation. This was going to suck.

"You should do that. She really is trying here. You should do whatever it takes to fix the two of you." She knew Derek and their father were never really going to get along. But she could tell that their mom really wanted to rebuild her relationship with Derek. And Cora hoped that it would happen.

"And now he's not?" She was starting to piece it together. Whatever was going on with Derek, she had a feeling it had something to do with Stiles.

She smiled oh so sweetly before flipping Derek off.

	"Good, glad to hear that," Cora said with a smile. She really was happy to hear it and not some excuse. She finished off her drink and set the glass down, pushing it to the side since it was empty. 	"Three drinks and still very sober." He replied shaking his head. "Nothing..." he looked to Cora and rolled his eyes. "Stiles is dating Cisco now." He said waving his hand for the moment as if it was no big deal. He glanced to the waitress and signaled for another drink with his glass to assure it was the same one. "Smartass" is all he said about her comment on him always being sober. When she asked what happened he shrugged his shoulders.

"What do you mean what happened?" He said looking at her suddenly. "He found someone he wanted to be with." Derek said a bit harshly as his drink arrived. Only to nod to the woman. His focus back on his sister.

"Besides, we weren't dating. I just provided the distraction he needed since Scott left."

"It's not a very difficult question. What happened? I mean the last I heard you two were on vacation in New York and now you're telling me he's dating Cisco." She looked up when the waitress came and then her attention went right back to her brother when she was gone. "Maybe not, but this has to be bothering you." She wanted to say 'I told you so' but she decided not to.

"I think you're full of it. You can't be with someone like that and then feel perfectly fine and glad that they found someone else to be with." She knew she wouldn't be fine if something like that happened. Then again, she thought the whole thing was a bad idea from the start. "Say what?" She asked innocently. "I told you so? Well, I did. And you didn't listen to me." She paused for a moment before adding, "It's not like I wanted to be right."

He sighed deeply. "Fine. I'm pissed. Feel like a fucking idiot." He replied shaking his head. "But what the fuck am I supposed to do? Tell him? What for." He shrugged his shoulders. Only to down the glass like the other and slam the glass on the table. Luckily not breaking it. When she said she didn't want it to be true he shrugged again.

"I know." He replied sitting back in the chair as he glanced to those around the bar and soon back to her.

"Now we're getting somewhere." She shrugged her shoulders. "You could tell him. Or keep it to yourself. Do whatever you want. I just wanted you to stop lying to me about how you were actually feeling." That was all she really wanted. Plus she knew holding that in would just make things worse. Derek needed to get it out of his system and move on. "So. What are you going to do now?"

He replied as he tossed his head back for the moment looking up at the ceiling as he thought a bit more on what he was going to do. "I'm gonna do what I do best Cora. Work at the shop." 	"So, that's it. You're just going to hide from everyone again? What good does that do?" Even though she knew Derek wasn't human anymore it was still kind of weird to see him down drink after drink and see no effects of it. "I wasn't worried," she told him.
