Aside from the fireworks, Logan has had organized carnival games, horseback riding, various raffles and contests. There's even a few rides set up in the fields.

The ranch house, dorms and office are off limits, but it's a nice day and there's plenty of shade under awnings and tents, and lots of ice cream, BBQ and some other dishes.

	All in all, Logan was happy with how things had turned out. It was still early in the day, but there were a lot of people. Between the entrance fee and some sizable donations, he'd be able to improve education and outreach for dozens of at risk teens. Speaking of, he chased several away from the alcohol tent, then helped himself to a beer. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Hazel wasn't exactly one for giant social events, but when it was for a good cause, she put her discomfort on pause. She'd gotten her dad to donate some money to the ranch since she was super convincing as a child when it came to monetary support. But she had a feeling that it was because she was working there and she didn't really ask for a lot.

Having seen Logan and the group of teens fleeing the alcohol tent, Hazel decided to go over and say hi. "Hey, boss. Looks like everything's going well today."

	Hazel shrugged. "But what are days off really? I mean...I tend to be here even when I'm not working, so...surprise?" She had to laugh at herself since it really wasn't at all surprising. It had been a fun trip up to the canyons. Kitty enjoyed Diana's company and she really was good with the kids. Once they were there, she wasn't too concerned with them. There wasn't much trouble they could get into, though she did keep one eye on them. She knew Logan would too. "Just behave, and if you want to play any games let me know!"

They were almost what, fourteen now? She could let go of the leash. A little.

Diana definitely had a way with kids, and she'd even told a couple stories already to keep their attention. She was also excited for this Fourth of July celebration, not only because it was her first of the kind, but also it was more time spent around Kitty. She was truly enjoying her company, and she liked being around her.

She watched Kitty let go of the leash a little on the kids with a smile. "Now, what shall we do?" Diana would let Kitty take the reigns here since she was very new to these customs.

Running a hand through her hair, Kitty glanced at Diana, her eyes darting to her lips for three quarters of a second. "We could try some games? Get a hot dog?" She paused. "At least I hope Logan picked up some kosher dogs or I'll kill him."

Kitty wasn't developing a crush. Nope. And she wasn't going to let some of the things she'd noticed in her and Rogue's neighborhood the past few days get to her today.

Perhaps as time went on, she'd up the ante, make things just a bit more interesting and possibly a little risqué. Though not too much so. She didn't want to get them kicked out. 	Guns weren't Diana's strong suit. Now if there was a game that used bows, she'd ace that with flying colors. So for now, Diana would be at the mercy of her aim and the accuracy of the air rifle. "Same to you," she responded as she took up one of the rifles. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
