Yesterday's celebrations had gone off without a hitch. Maria's parents were a little disappointed that Maria wouldn't be partaking of the Baptism this time around, but they understood that this was a decision that Maria would need to feel one-hundred percent comfortable with. They knew, and Maria knew that rushing into this sort of thing would have dire consequences if she wasn't fully committed.
Today Maria had decided to wander around the city, but found herself drawn to a particular bookstore. It seemed cozy, welcoming, and it had an occult section. The young woman skimmed through the titles for anything that might catch her eye. A number of the books were of the coffee table variety; large books filled with images, and information that anyone could find if they did a simple search.
She did come across a book that she was almost certain didn't belong in the occult section.
"A Divine Revelation of Hell-Heaven," Maria muttered.
She picked up the book, turned it to a random page, and quickly placed the book back. Maria had no time for the insane ramblings of a mad woman who thought herself divine. She might have read more of it, but the sudden remembrance of dreams had her looking for any kind of book about gems, and precious stones. While she looked over the titles she cursed the fact that her faith had a number of books concerning astrology, planets, the elements, plants and herbs, but nothing on stones.
"Where are you book?" she asked to herself.
She knew that the books couldn't very well answer her back.
