Who: Will Graham and Francis Dolarhyde.
What: A talk.
When: Recently.
Where: The San Diego Museum of Art.
Rating/Warnings: Probably high. There will be dream talk.
Status: In Progress (closed).
The saying goes keep your enemies closer. Will considers Francis his enemy, that much is certain, and it's been fueling this peculiar obsession that's been festering. Like Will's waiting for Francis to snap, to show signs of the dragon, and he's not going to let it get the best of him. He's bested Hannibal Lecter in this world, hasn't he? He can get the Dragon, too.
So he takes the invitation to go see Francis speak again, and to look at the photos. Photos tell so many stories. It's not about crime scenes, but Will intuits things that most people may not notice. Even as he listens to Francis speak about them, Will's thinking about minute details hidden in the pictures. His brain is never quiet.
But then there's no more talking. The small group of people is dispersing and Will is left standing there, facing a sleeping dragon with only mere feet between them. He doesn't bother smiling as he closes the distance, and there are no glasses to protect him. Face to face.
"You're getting better at this."
