WHERE: Blake's Home in Irvine.
WHEN: Friday Night.

John Blake wasn't stupid. People with nothing to hide rarely if ever had the feeling of being followed or fearing for their life on a day to day basis. The area didn't have a huge organized crime problem, but the Russian Mob had a presence, and he'd never shaken the feeling that Dany wasn't hiding something big.

Frankly, John smelled a rat. He didn't think Dany was in the wrong, but she knew something, and it scared her.

The whole mess was a lot more complicated than he had the full scope of. And he hated going in blind. Still, pressing her to talk would likely do no good. He'd have to wait it out. And white knight complex be damned, he'd let her stay over. He'd bet anything the brother was in something shady, and at least he could help her out a little.

	Dany sat down with the blanket in total shock. There really was someone trying to kill her. She needed to find out who, but she could guess. It was probably Harper. Harper or it had to do with something Viserys was up to. Either way she was in serious danger. She was afraid she wouldn't live out the week and now Blake was involved. Why was she so stupid? 	The officers went outside to look around, and Blake sat down across from Dany on the chair in front of her. "I need to know what you know. We're going to get you in a safe location tonight, but until you're honest with me I can't help." He wasn't John right now. Officer Blake of the Irvine PD just didn't like getting shot at. Hell, it could have been Viserys sending someone to watch her every move to make sure she wasn't sleeping with anyone else and when they saw Blake and Dany kissing they decided to break it up. Or it could have been her mother. Maybe she was angry that Dany had killed her husband?

Dany just shook her head and then buried her head in her hands. How was she supposed to explain this? She was a criminal even if the police didn't know it was Dany who killed the man who raised. her Viserys had been in jail for a good portion of his life. Neither of them could afford to have the police poking their noses around. Oh god. Viserys was going to be so angry.

"I don't know anything," Dany mumbled into her hands miserably.

	John was an officer, but he wasn't heartless. And he also knew when he just wouldn't get anywhere. "Okay. I don't want you upset, c'mon. We can talk about it in the morning. The officers will take you to the safehouse." He was getting a hotel, after making sure he wasn't tailed. This was not how he expected the night to end. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Dany was to numb to object to a safe house even though she knew though Viserys would be angry with her. He was going to be angry about a lot of things when she finally came home. Maybe that was one reason why she was okay with the safe house for now.

But she didn't forget that Blake was in this too. Her eyes widened and she clutched to his arms. "What about you?!" she asked, alarmed.

	"I'm so sorry," was all Dany could really bring herself to say. She just felt miserable about everything. She never should have gone to get that cup of coffee with a police man. Now everything was a big mess. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Blake knelt in front of her, shaking his head.

"Don't be." He simply wasn't that cold. That callous. "Look, I know something's up, and I understand. Well, that it exists."

No clue what it was.

"I just want to help you. Get safe, whatever that means for this."

Everything else was... well, off the table. Probably for awhile. He'd frozen right back up even at the idea. But she needed protecting, no question.

And John Blake would never back down from that.

Blake was being so kind to her and she didn't understand why. It just made her feel all that more intensely for him even though she knew this was a deal breaker for the both of them.

Dany wasn't sure she'd ever feel safe again. In fact she actually couldn't remember the last time she felt safe. Before her mother got pregnant. Maybe that was then, but it felt like ages ago. Everything had big one big mess after another since then. Now it was finally starting to catch up with her.

"Thank you," she said feebly. She wasn't sure what else there was to say.
