A six? Yeah, could Neal see that. It'd been similar with him when he started, but then the little hellions really took a shine to him - he wasn't sure why, but it probably had to do with what Rachel said once. That they saw a kindred spirit in him, and he couldn't disagree. "You gotta stick it out," he agreed, with one of those crooked, infectious grins. "It's really rewarding when you reach them, though you know how it goes." She had the experience to back it up.
"They really love the animals too, or at least the kiddos I look after do," he added, while Vilya found her jacket. Neal had his on already, and the jeans were slightly dusty but that was to be expected when you've been here since before the sun was up, outside doing dirty work. "Never thought cow pies would be so entertaining."

"We can take a drive? There's a cafe near here that's kind of hidden but people go after horseback riding, usually. I stop for breakfast sometimes." Because it sort of had a Wild, Wild West thing and they had amazing steak and eggs, and biscuits and gravy, and he was usually starving.
