Despite it being three months since Aramis took up Hydra's offer, he's only just now achieving official agent status. He understands, of course. His time in the CIA taught him that such things are taken seriously, and he has no doubt that Hydra takes them more seriously than others, and it's necessary to make sure he gets fitted to the best job possible. Fortunately, his history and his field tests do him credit, and a part of him feels like he was born to do this sort of thing. Aramis knows he possesses all the qualities of a good agent. It's nice to know that Hydra sees that, now, too.

Being a proper agent now means that he gets proper agent toys. If anything, he's eager to see the firearms. It's a specialty of his that's going rusty where the Agency is concerned. He's scheduled an appointment to meet with their tech specialist, the guy who develops everything Hydra uses, and Aramis is prompt and punctual. To be honest, he's trying not to act too much like a kid in a candy store.

Well done, Aramis. You pass the first test. Or Q's first test, anyway.

"Aramis, yes. Formerly CIA, formerly-slash-currently Agency, but looking to do something a little more exciting with your life and career, is that it?

That's how most of us wandered this way, I've found. That, and the pay isn't half bad.

Why don't you take a seat and tell me a little about past weapons experience. Everyone gets a sort of starter kit, of course, but I do like to add personal touches."

"Am I so transparent?" he jokes, giving Q an amused and, if he's being honest with himself, slightly flirtatious smile. "Yes, that's me exactly."

As he's invited to, Aramis takes a seat, and he looks momentarily thoughtful.

"There's the usual standard issue that everyone seems to work with. I took to it quite well, though. By the time I got placed in my team with the CIA, I was the top shot. I was their specialist and sharp shooter, and, not to sound too arrogant, but I never miss a shot. With any weapon." Aramis pauses a moment to preen. "I'm also ambidextrous, evenly matched on either hand though natural preference is the right. And if it means anything, I've also become rather good with early seventeenth century pistols."
