Who: Mercy Thompson & Tink
When: August 21st
Where: Tink's Garage
What: Mercy has a car
Rating: TBD
Status: In progress

Mercy was broken. Which was to say rather grumpy. She had a boot on, though, and could walk on it, sorta (she hadn't been listening, though, and was walking on it), but she had a backlog of cars. Which was to say she was crazy busy, but she called her usual paint place to paint her current project car and they weren't available for quite a bit. Which was frustrating because Mercy had a buyer, it just needed to be painted. She'd pursued the network and saw a comment from Tink to another network user about painting cars. So she hopped in the project car which was road worthy and plated, and headed over.

She figured, it couldn't hurt right? She hopped out of the car and hopped into the front room, she leaned on the counter and looked around for anyone to talk to. It was comical, really, because she had to hop in. Driving had made her foot hurt like crazy and all she wanted was to get rid of it. Why couldn't she have been a werewolf like her friends in her dreams? Then she could have healed this crap with a few steaks and a nap. Not wait until the doctor's said she was fine. "Hello?" she'd call out after a second.

Mercy looked around and grinned. First as a military girl then a mechanic, she knew that there was genius in the use of duct tape. "Duct tape is the father of ingenuity, though!" She leaned on a wall, carefully. "Sure, I'd love to bring her in. Customer is unhappily boring but they want a nice red" she laughed

Tink laughed. "It sure is!" Then she nodded, and moved over to the machine. "All right, red I can do. Did you bring the car with you today? I can do it now. It'll take a few hours to dry, but it'll be done in minutes."

She was able to distract herself quite easly with the machine, getting things set and ready for the painting procedure.

She smiled at the woman. "I did in fact, I drove it over so you could look at it if you wanted." she smiled and leaned on the wall. Fingers curled against the door frame to hold herself up. Foot throbbing angrily.

"You want me to bring her around?" she'd ask, head tilting.

"Yeah, definitely." Tink said, giving her a bright smile. "Bring her on around, and I'll set up the machine."

A few minutes later the car was parked in the right place, the machine was humming, and Tink was busily coating the car in an even layer of thick paint.

Mercy would watch in rapt fascination. "Man this is awesome. I'm defiantly using you for paint work. Project cars are my favorite things, so I tend to get a bunch. I have a great person to redo all the fabric stuff, and now the best painter. This is awesome."

She was happy. She liked when things worked well.
