"Oh, dear. I'm sorry to hear about your friend," McCoy said gently. He wasn't exactly the best with bedside manner, but this wasn't exactly a bedside. And Jane was a friend. At one point she was a potential mate, but now they were just friends, right? Though, she was quite lovely still.

"No." He shook his head. "Blue Epidemics, giant mushrooms, invading alients... Just keeps us on our toes."

"Thanks. She's going to be ok, just got knocked about a bit by an explosion it seems, although I haven't figured out how she got into the explosion yet," Jane rambled out. "I got a text from a completely random person I've never met to say there'd been an accident and Gwen was in here. I came as soon as I could, but when I got here she was asleep," she shrugged. "Figured I'd go grab some coffee and wait," she told him. "Oh god, I'm not keeping you from work or anything am I?" she asked, suddenly remembering this was actually his place of work.

McCoy sighed. "Strange, inexplicable explosions? Sounds like Orange county." He nodded and listened, and then lifted one hand to rub a finger over his chin. "Gwen Stacy? I read her file. She'll be fine." He added. "I'm sure she'll be glad to see you."

When she asked about his work, he glanced down the hall. "I'm sure there's something they need me for. But it was good to see you, Jane," he added, giving her something of a smile. "Don't be a stranger."
