Tink listened to the engine for a bit, nodding once. Then leaned over to inspect the parts carefully. She closed the hood after a moment, and then came over to the driver's side to talk to the woman again.

"Well, I can't see or hear anything out of the ordinary. But in Orange County I don't ever take gut feelings for granted. So... I'll keep her overnight and run diagnostics, if you want. It's possible there's nothing wrong. But it's also possible there's something I just can't see or hear."
