Kol was squirming in his seat, continuing to talk to Henrik, to make sure his brother was alert, focused and talking to him. The fifteen minute drive seemed like a lifetime, but when they pulled up to his parents house, Kol lept from the car before Tatia even had the opportunity stop the car and used his keys to enter through the backyard, running for the guest house as fast as he could, kicking the door open with all his might.

There, in a pool of his own blood, lay is baby brother. Kol swallowed the vomit that was threatening to come forth before running to Henrik, bending down to stroke at his hair.

“See, Henry? I’m here. I’m here, little brother. Tatia is going to call the ambuance and we are going to get you the help you need, okay? I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.”

"Ya, ya dude, it was all a dream," Kol promised, tears in his eyes as he held his brothers hand, looking at Tatia with a devastated expression on his face. "Are they coming? Should somebody stand out there and wait for them?" He looked back at Kol and bent down, lightly pressing a kiss to his brothers clammy head, not caring how stupid or gay it looked. "It's going to be okay, I promise. I'm right here and no wolf will get you without coming through me first. I promise."

It was heartbreaking to hear Kol with his brother like that. It wasn’t only heartbreaking to hear but to see as well. She had never seen a look like that on Kol’s face before. “I’m going out there. I’ll run them right in when they get here,” she said as she took a step back towards the door. “Kol, you have to put pressure on the wounds. It’s going to hurt him but you have to. The blankets are doing a good job but we want to give as much time as we can.” She was very clear and commanding when she spoke to him.

She didn’t stay in the room for another moment after she said that. She walked to the front of the property.

Henrik shakily breathing as he gaze moved back to his brother. It was just a dream.
