It had been ages, it seemed, since Loras was able to be gracious and courteous. It wasn't so much that he didn't want to be, but he'd found himself suddenly and inexplicably surrounded by Certain People who made it rather difficult. Over the past two weeks, his face and body had been covered in bruises that were now at least mostly healed. There was a fresh one on his jaw, compliments of his own Invisible Rope Buddy, he'd seen it coined somewhere on the net. That wasn't what troubled him the most, though.
No matter how many times he'd been pummeled, nothing could come close to the flood of confusion at seeing Renly Baratheon's name on the net. Loras hadn't told anyone, not even Obi-Wan, and not his Invisible Rope Buddy who now knew his sexual preference, but still didn't know who had been the subject of a dream so strong as to send Loras curling under the bed covers to seek a warm body. Waking up to a punch instead of a murmur of his name had been most unwelcome, but seeing the name...it had to be real. No one else knew, and who else would have a name like that? It was possible, of course, but Loras was starting to think that it was highly unlikely.
Glad to be free of Garrus, Loras went out. He thought he surely deserved it, even if it was alone. He wanted to be alone for once. He'd taken his car to get washed, he'd gone to get a hair cut (it was still long enough for a ponytail), and he'd bought himself a new cologne which he put on for the night. Call it a craving if you would, men had those as well, Loras pulled into a Chinese restaurant, shut off his car, grabbed his cell, and walked inside. A little wonton soup would soothe the nerves.
