There was the sound of Henrik whimpering. "Help, please," he repeated weakly into the phone.

“You promise?” he asked weakly.

*”Everything is going to be fine, Kol. He’s going to be fine but we have to get going. The car keys jingled in her hands as she was standing by the door.

She walked over to Kol and kissed him on the forehead. She didn’t know what the right thing to say was. “I’m going to start the car. Just get dressed baby.” She didn’t want anytime to get between them and Henrik. She walked out of the bedroom. It could be heard that she shut the front door.

In the car she was alone for a minute. She gripped onto the steering wheel and heard back her tears. She couldn’t cry when she needed to be strong for Kol.*
