Sage here! Just letting you know that I dropped a buttload of folks lately, and picked up a couple more:
I dropped the elder Teja, and kept the younger one. Sam Winchester is now in the capable hands of Ms. Misha. I also dropped Cass, Remy (the elder), Azrael, Mephisto, and all the other celestial bodies I had around.
However, I brought in two critters, both voiced by John DiMaggio, though that had nothing to do with why they decided to shove themselves into my green room.
First is this happy doofus here, Wakka! Straight out of Spira and looking for a reasonable replacement for blitzball! Come poke at him. He might talk funny, and he might be a little slow on the uptake, but he's a good person.
Secondly, is Bender. He's a jackwad. He used to be a robot. He will bilk you out of house and home if you let him. He drinks, he smokes, he's foulmouthed and egotistical. But who doesn't adore Bender?
Oh! And I wanted to remind everyone to check the wanted page on the Wiki. I saw a couple things I wasn't sure if anyone was still wanting, so don't forget it exists!

Misha here. I am like the worst player ever. I keep neglecting UTR, for reasons I think are mostly psychological, and have nothing to do with the game itself, or the people here. And while that isn't really meant to be cryptic, I'd rather not go into detail. Anyway...
Yes. I need to get my boys in play. I have Eliot Spencer, Ash (who happens to be the only source of estrogen in my headspace at this time), and Nate Ford who've been around for a while. Logan Thibault from The Lucky One who I think had one post a while back, then went silent. The movie comes out next week, though, so maybe he'll wake up! I also have Crowley and Sam Winchester from Supernatural. Sam is the lovely sociopath from the first half of S!6...all empty and soulless. Neither Sam nor Crowley has been intro'd, and I really need to do that.
Anyway. I'm here, and I want to play. If you have any ideas or plots you want to see with my guys, let me know? I need to get back into the swing of things, and reassert myself as a player here! |

I'm sorry to do this everyone, but I need to declare a full-out hiatus and withdraw myself from the upcoming chaos plot (which means Q is back up for grabs). This goes for all of 'em: Dar, Alistair and Duncan Theirin, Merry Brandybuck, Leia Organa, Malcolm Reynolds, River Tam, Erato, Spike from BtvS, Yuna, Rarity, George Weasley, and Kevin Flynn.
The reason is partly good--I'm pregnant. And let me tell you, it's been amusing as heck to watch all the various UtR characters finding out the same thing, in one case on the same *day* I found out. But going along with that is an incredible amount of real life crap that's frankly causing me to go out of my mind (jobhunting, trying to move, and my husband's PhD), to say nothing of pregnancy itself being an exhausting business in the first trimester. I have no energy. I'm sorry.
I hope I'll be back in a few weeks if things settle down. Hell, I just hope things settle down.

Starting Friday, April 13 (teehee!), weird stuff will start happening. Weird Stuff includes:

- I'm being a slackerass and suck at keeping myself motivated to post. If I have a thread with you that I need to tag, please punch me in the head and let me know, and I'll get to it as soon as I'm humanly able!
- I've finally gotten into a groove with my weebee, and will gladly take on new schemes with my fellow muns, if you all have any particular plots and plans to jump on. Again, I'm kind of being a space case and forgot who all I planned on plotting with, so please get a hold of me if I had any ideas with you. I'm reeeally sorry I'm a complete flake lately!
- I found the best PB ever for Teja and now I'm using him here. This affects nobody but I like lookin' at the guy.

Okay, we're working on an upcoming plot for mid April. We were thinking about having a BIG BAD, but thought it might be more fun to try a lot of Little Bads. Of course, it's hard to coordinate world domination, so these are going to be more in the flavor of Chaos.
We're looking for people to volunteer to play temporary PC's. This plot will last about a week. These guys are just going to create chaos and provide a foil for their canon counterparts. What we're really going for is low drama, high chaos.
To give you an idea who I mean, here are examples:

I'd call it a full-out hiatus but I seem to be managing a tag here and there once in a blue moon. It really can't be depended on, though.
I haven't lost interest and I still love the game and want to play with all of you, but there's just too much. Sorry. =(

Hi,
I updated a storylines post in my CDJ for all my current characters in UTR, listed also in the Wiki too. The CDJ entry is mostly basic stuff like who they're involved with (or had been in the past), their friends, best friends, relatives, locations, jobs, canon points, etc. Feel free to let me know if you want me to edit anything into it, or even add any of your pups' names to any of the particular sections, just in case I missed anyone.
Oh, Kara also did a bit of a rescue scene in New York if anyone wants to have seen it on the news, or have a vision, or if any other heroes want to jump in on it. She'd probably like to find some heroes and see if there are any membership opportunities too. Also got Jake in Hawaii looking for his pal Mordred (who might be going to another continent soon), lol. HEY, YOU GUYS. MOOOOOODS, OVER HERE. HEY. HEY LOOK, ZIM HAS A QUESTION.
Anyway, in all seriousness, I have this Reno muse in my head. Yeah, that Reno. From Final Fantasy. And he really wants to get out. However, I am incredibly picky about icons. I doubt I could find a play-by that fits him well, what with his tattoos and crazy hairstyle, and while there are a lot of Reno cosplayers, I've never found one that is both good, and has a butt-ton of pictures to crop and use as icons.
HOWEVER.
There's this movie. Advent Children Complete. It is CGI, but, it's realistic. So they look and move like real people..not like anime characters. Would it be possible to use icons from the movie if I brought Reno into the community? AAAAAAND, if it IS okay for me to do so, I might just have a potential Rufus ShinRa player that's both very good, and very interested in joining a good community.~ Reason being, he's equally as picky about icons, so I wanted to know if the option was open for us to do that. |

Hi all,
Mike here with a new character. Kara Zor-El (though she's also used the name Kara Kent) from Smallville. She's from the Season 10 episode "Prophecy." She was also a member of the team under the codename Supergirl. Helping Oliver get a special bow, trying to find ways to help Clark against Darkseid and Apokolips, but after a talk with Jor-El, decided to find her own destiny by going to the 30th Century (she was given a Legion ring to go there) and helping the hero team of that era.
But now after becoming a Legion member, a tornado vortex somehow brought her to this universe of 2012. She has an alias under Linda Lee Danvers, with glasses and black wig, and maybe a civilian job too. She is open to plot or interactions with anyone. Oh, and she might be interested in helping some heroes out or even joining them (or at least giving assistance) if they want. :)

Alrighty, so with my latest update/log for Mordred, I have some new ideas to play off of from it. This plot with him so far has been fun and it keeps getting better. I was thinking his antics might have gotten a little attention (like authorities or news reports). But as the news is, that might not be on the night news until maybe a couple days later. Maybe the only news right away would be the sudden weather temp change, with the 50 feet of shoreline water becoming ice (temporarily, it'd melt after a while, maybe few days).
Like, "whoa, our weatherguy sure dropped the ball on that one, didn't predict that at all,").. though it's not a big one, just a minor spot.. though still, quite odd. I'd heard of maybe a little snow on mountains, but this being on surface see level might be strange. There might be other temperature changes in the future too at other locations soon, as he's on the run still. Might be it's quite the adventure lol. XD
So couple days later, maybe there's some Hawaii nightly news (or national if they feel it's of interest to report) about the airport escapee kid, with a sketch drawing of him. As well as the beach altercation, although the rantings of punk teens about a magic weird kid in a cloak might be mentioned and then quickly dismissed, lol. So I was thinking, any reporters, science buffs, magic peeps, or anyone just curious might be free to investigate it if they like. I haven't done anything for Lex yet so maybe he could look into it too and run into others in the process of it.
The Merlin fandom pups (or Taunton kids or teachers) might notice something too, especially if the Druid kid's description or sketch is seen on the news one night on TV (though only world news since it's not local, and they'd just have his looks but not his name.. thay'd maybe guess it's him tho). Oh! I just thought of this now, if the NSA has satellites, their images might pick up on the icy formations of the Hawaii ocean shoreline too, if they want.

You may either place your gift under the tree at Taunton School (Address provided), or you may send your gift to the designated P.O. box listed below.
Remember, this program is mandatory! Happy Holidays!"

I bought a new phone. I think I'm in love with it. I got an Android Infuse 4. It is about as heavy as two pieces of paper and it has a 4.5 inch screen. It's awesome.

Okay! Randomization is done, emails are sent. If you signed pups up for Secret Santa, you should have gotten your assignments. (Hopefully the formatting is okay, and you can all read it).
Just to clarify, what you got is your pup and the name of the pup they need to buy a present for.
A lot of your pups won't know the person they got. What they do with that will depend on your character. Maybe they'll try and do research. Maybe they'll ask a friend to ask around to find out what the person likes. Maybe they'll just buy them a scented candle and be done with it. A lot of that is up to you. Keep in mind that surprises are awesome fun, so try not to let the cat out of the bag too badly.
Rules
1.) Your pup has to get a present for the person they were assigned. It doesn't have to be personalized, it doesn't have to be nice, but it does have to be a gift. There are IC magical consequences if they fail to give the person a present. The IC and OOC deadline for present exchange is December 31, 2011.
2.) Don't use OOC knowledge ICly. I know this is a silly, harmless plot, but your character can't magically know the secret desires of a character they've never met (Unless they can.. But even then, remember you have to ask mun permission for telepathy!). If you can't think of an IC explanation for them knowing something (ie, asking a friend, following them around for a few days, etc.) then you shouldn't use it.

Hey, guys. Misha here, with apologies for falling out. I have been sucked in to too many things, both online and not online, and UTR got pushed to the back burner and it wasn't until Mandy emailed me today that I got my head back on straight about it.
Thing is, I love you guys. I have been playing in UTR for years, and I have had a lot of great playtimes and storylines here. I think part of my block is tied in to associations from someone I used to play with here, that really stuck a knife in my gut and left a bad taste in my mouth, but...that was over a year ago and it's time to get over it and not let the ghosts of Christmas past interfere with the current timeline.
So. I'm back. And if I drop off again, I'll just have to throw the towel in and I don't want to do that. So, I'm reinstating Eliot and Ash and Nate and Daryl Dixon. I think I'll stick with them for now, and see if anyone else from my headspace wants to join the fun.

One last note. I have been run down and sickish this past week, and I'm still struggling with focus and energy at night, when I do my RPing. I'm not sure how active I will be this week, but once 3:15 (est) hits on Friday afternoon, I'm off work for 2 weeks, which is awesome, and should give me time to refocus and rejuvenate and what not. So bear with me this week, I'm going to post at least Eliot and Daryl, and then next week I'm looking to be more active and reestablish myself as a force to be reckoned with here. Hah. Kidding with that last part!
If anyone wants my boys for anything, especially Daryl since he needs the CR because he has...none, I'd really like that. ♥ to everyone!

Okay, so this has approval from Mandy and Jewels, FYI, because they are awesome.
I don't know if anyone besides Jewels, Sage, and myself is super into American Horror Story, but it's fantastic. And seeing as the ghosts are bound to the house (and the best characters, IMHO), it'd be hard to bring them in, right?
NOT ANYMORE.
Gaz Membrane, our resident spooky girl who's got an undead henchman already, has just found a house in LA that she bought from a relator who's kind of milquetoast and terrified of her. She wasn't put off by the stories that people had been murdered there. Honestly, she's kind of comforted by it.
If you pick up an AHS ghostie, feel free to have Gaz see them. She won't be scared, and will probably ignore them or try to be buddies. The more NPC ghosts (Beau, Infantata) will be there, NPC'd away, unless someone wants to play them. Of course, if you want to pick up one of the ghosts and have them not be dead, that's totally your option (but isn't half the fun that they're dead?).
I'd been kicking around a way for me to app one of them myself, so I hope this helps open up a whole new fandom to people. |

One of our players had an idea for a fun holiday plot! Secret Santa!
Comment here with your pup(s) that you want involved in the Secret Santa gift exchange. I'll randomly assign pups for them to buy presents for. They might have no idea who the person is, they might be friends, or they might hate them--WHO KNOWS?
Sign-up will be open for one week (until Friday, December 16th). After that, I will email you with the character your pups need to get presents for.
Hypothetical Example:
I play Watson from Sherlock Holmes. I sign Watson up for the gift exchange. I get an email from myself saying Watson is Isabela's Secret Santa. He doesn't really know her, but he does a little research (Maybe with Sherlock's help.) Sometime around Christmas week, he makes a post in the main UTR comm that says something like ( "To Isabela" ) and has a link to what he got for her. "A present left anonymously under the community tree for Isabela".
At this point, Secret Santas can either reveal themselves, or remain anonymous like Watson did, by leaving it at a community Christmas tree at Taunton. Anyone who tries to take a present that isn't addressed to them will become bright green, hairy, and covered in warts due to magic protection spells.
A few side notes:
Please only sign up your active pups. If you have a random character that you usually keep in the back of a closet, chances are not too many people in the game even know who they are. It will be more fun for other people if characters (or at least muns) know who they're getting presents for.
Please try to make sure you're able to pick gift ideas and post descriptions/pictures of them by the end of December. If you're a few days late, that's okay, but if you're going to be mega-busy over the holidays, don't sign up 20 pups because you probably won't have time to do it.
As far as IC explanation, this will be another 'weird and wacky vortex' thing, where pups (whose muns sign them up) get letters notifying them that they are participating in a Secret Santa exchange, even though they didn't sign up for one. This lets Grinchy pups get involved too, and allows for hilariousness. If your pup needs extra motivation, there can be some sort of punishment caveat (green, hairy, warts) if they refuse to participate. Bah humbug, indeed! In short, it is OOC-optional for muns, but IC-required for pups once you sign them up!
