This is Hope Adams from the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong. I already have Jaime from there but Hope is different. She's a half chaos demon.
As an Expisco she is one of the most rare half demons. Commonly called Chaos demons she does not get the powers and abilities, like other half demons inherit from their demonic parent. But instead she got the demonic sensors. Chaos demons can sense chaos. For example, if a person thinks about their plan to murder someone, Hope will hear or perhaps even see a vision of it. So basically chaos, any kind of it will give her a dose and it's really like taking a shot of heroin. She's almost let friends die because it felt so good to be around them while they did. she's generally a good girl though. |
