Rose felt a blow land across her middle. It sent her flying backward. She let out a frustrated growl as she landed on burnt skin. Her forearms were raw, in the process of healing, and it hurt a great deal to have them brushing against concrete. But in spite of the pain, she rose to her feet. In this state, little could really take Rose out save knocking her unconscious. And even that wouldn't have lasted for long.
Rose launched herself at Rachel just as the shield began to form. She pushed herself to get to Rachel before it had completely solidified. Rose brought a claw down once she was close enough but found her claws stopped before they bit into skin. Rose let out angry shouts. She swiped at the invisible barrier again and again, but couldn't reach her target. She swore loudly and continuously, calling Rachel all manner of bad names.
Rose didn't give up for a few minutes. Her fury rose as she found herself unable to kill this woman who'd dared to try talking her out of the life she led. But eventually, Rose found herself running out of steam. The blows slowed. She couldn't get to Rachel and she was beginning to realize this.
Rose took a step back, panting. Her skin was healing. Her hair was growing back. Within a few hours, she'd be completely fine. Physically, at least.
"I warned you." Rose snarled at Rachel, even though she was unsure whether or not Rachel could hear her. "Leave me alone, Rachel." She turned and began to walk away.
