Entry tags:dean winchester, lisa cuddy, sam winchester

Who: Dean, Sam, and Cuddy.
What: Fixing Sam.
When: Today.
Where: The Winchester Mansion.
Warnings: Maybe swearing, but other than that, none.

Dean didn't get scared, hardly ever, but he felt scared as he paced around outside his house, waiting for the doctor to arrive. Sam kept falling in and out of consciousness, and he couldn't keep him awake. For that matter, Sam's hallucinations were starting to rattle him. He fidgeted with his collar as he paced, trying to stay calm.

Sam nodded and barely noticed the needle. He wiggled against the heat of the blankets, swallowing alot and trying not to make noises.

"Dean don'lemme alone..." Sam weak hand wiggled in search of his brother.
"...hurts."

Dean swallowed hard and shook his head. "I'm right here, Sammy. I'm not going to go anywhere, promise. I'll take care of you." He squeezed his brother's hand to let him know he was there, since Sam had his eyes closed.

After she injected him she put the needle into a bag so that she could dispose of it properly once she got back to the hospital. Then she went and got him a bunch of water in a glass and some of the extra strength asprin she'd brought with her. "Okay.. let's see if you can take some of this all right? Do you think you can swallow it?"

"Mmnnn." Sam groaned, feeling like he'd just gone six rounds with a cinder block. The shot of whatever worked fast, and he didn't feel like he was going to barf for the first time that morning. "'cn do it.."

He forced his eyes open and licked his bottom lip. Everything was blurry around him, and too bright. Two round shaped bitter things were on his tongue and a glass clinked against his teeth. He pulled some water into his mouth and tried to swallow the pills. He choked a little bit, but managed to get one down. The other, he hacked up and felt it fly out of his mouth.

Dean managed to recover the aspirin from Sam's shirt, chuckling a little. "Remember when you hated taking these and Dad had to damn near throw 'em down your throat? C'mon, Sammy." He moved closer to his brother, propping him up and putting the pill back in his mouth. He gave him the water, and hoped that Sam could swallow.

Cuddy stayed by, ready to help with the water or whatever else was needed and rubbed Sam's back a little since she didn't want him to choke on it. "Nice and easy.. it'll be okay.." well at least she had a good bedside manner which was more then most of the people that worked for her did. "Now you sleep.. for as long as you can.." she looked over at Dean, "Just check on him okay? If his temperature doesn't go down to at least 99 in an hour or so? Call me. I just mostly worry about him dehydrating when his fever's this high.. he might need an IV if he can't keep any liquids in him."
